Imagine your OTP+ as best friends/coworkers/in another platonic relationship who see each other every day, and banter wittily, and are secretly in love with the other.  And every day they see each other, and at some point every day they look at each other, and if they only said something, anything, then it would all work out and be perfect and they would ride off into the sunset together with children/puppies/houseplants.  But neither of them says anything, and they just look back down again, because they don’t want to ruin the relationship/there’s someone in between them/one of them is a duck/a reason of your choice.  It goes on like this, day after day, and sometimes it hurts, and sometimes it doesn’t, and nothing ever changes.  Day after day.
