Holiday weekend events in DALLAS & NEW ORLEANS!
Being born and raised in New Orleans and now living in Dallas, I feel its only right I shed light on both when it comes to arts and entertainment. This weekend id the 4th of July and both cities will be sizzling hot with parties festivals, events and concerts during the span of 4 days. How lucky are we!?!
And how lucky for you I’ve compiled a list of things to do in each city the entire weekend. Day parties, exhibits, fests, nightlife you name it. #IgnantTruth is if you are bored inside this 4th of July weekend well you just a boring person.

Riverwalk & French Quarters
The fireworks can be viewed from either side of the river. On the French Quarter side the best views are from Woldenberg Park between the Governor Nicholls Street Wharf and Spanish Plaza, adjacent to the Canal Street Ferry landing.Crescent Park, which runs along the Marigny/Bywater neighborhoods, also offers sweeping views of the river, especially at the overlook just off of the Piety Street footbridge. Those who wish to enjoy the colorful extravaganza against a backdrop of the city skyline can hop aboard the Canal Street Ferry and grab a great view from the levee in Algiers Point. From either vantage point it is a breathtaking panoply of patriotism! Bring your blankets, chairs, ice chests and more, then relax and enjoy.
