“I thought it was not-morning. Not-morning is a great time of day. The best time of day.”
“Evenin’, not-mornin’, potato, potahto... Same shit. Literally no difference. Same shit, same pile ? Or is it a different pile of shit. I don’t even.”
“Gooood not-morning to everyone!”
“Evenin’. Close enough. Opposite of mornin’. Um. Yeah. That’ll do, kiddo, that’ll do.”
"Haven’t seen her yet, but heh, I haven’t really seen much of anyone. I’ve been pretty focused on my work, I can lose track of time real easy."
Sapphire tried to think of what she knew of the scientists from Orre, what they specialized in, and when she remembered she tried her best to keep her face blank, keep her eyes from widening too noticeably. The studies of Aura, she remembered her papa telling her once. She also remembered the look in his eyes when he tried to explain what exactly they were researching about aura, how to warp it, taint it.
"Ahh, secretive huh? Some scientists get like that, people can be pretty protective of their work!"
"Oh trust me, you'll know her when you see her. Ain't as lovely to look at as I am, but not exactly a total woofer either if ya get what I mean~"
"Mmmyeeaah, I'm pretty sure it's part of her weird OCD-esque thing. I dunno, she's a fuckin' odd one an' always has been. It's... eerie, almost, unsettlin' an' all that. I'll poke around into what she's up to first, just to make sure it ain't anythin' like... really fucked up. Like fucked up tier that just ain't even fit anymore. Probably ain't nothin', but a little healthy paranoia every now an' again is good, right ?"
"Oh, one of them is your cousin? What does she study? Is she from Hoenn as well?"
"I’ve been spending so much time down in the labs, but the noise keeps going up. I’ve seen lights on in some other labs nearby, but haven’t really gone to meet anyone yet. I think a part of me is worried about what I might find."
"She's the tall one with the purple hair and a constant look of... fuckin' I dunno, she ain't the most expressive I can tell ya that. I'm pretty sure she like, attempted to smile once in front of a mirror an' broke it."
"An' to be honest, I have no idea whatsoever what she gets up to. She's pretty damn secretive, an' that only worsened when she left Johto for Orre-- at least I think that's where it was. I've been meanin' to go down an' bug her myself but it keeps slippin' my mind. I saw her like. Once or twice so far. Must be hidin' somethin'. But hey, that's none of my business."
"It’s gotten louder down in the labs near mine… It looks like there are some new scientists."
"I wonder if it’s too much to hope they aren’t all— unpleasant people…?"
"Well one of 'em is my cousin so--"
"Wait did she bring like. An entire nerd-herd or somethin'. Oh no, I just remembered that's not possible. Skylar ain't got any friends, whoops."
"Greeeaaat. Everyone seems to be here now. Ain't that just fanfuckin'tastic."
Old Teammates //Morgan Damian
Damian’s eyes widened at the pack of pups that ran into the clearing, moving quickly in front of Malakai to motion to the large dragon as he made to rush them, seeing them as easy prey. “Woah, Malakai— no!" He made to pull out Malakai’s pokeball as fast as he could, recalling the dragon before he could cause any trouble or try to eat one of the pups. He barely tolerated Kess as it was, he wasn’t going to test his luck with these forign pokemon.
After calling Malakai back into his pokeball he turned to look at the pack of pups that had entered the clearing. There was no way they were native, these little guys belonged back in Hoenn, which meant the trainer couldn’t be far— ahh there she was, dropping from the tree with a Furfrou by her side.
The blue hair ticked at his memory, someone he had known back in Magma… he took a closer look at her face, and when she started speaking it brought back a certain blast from the past. A young Magma grunt with a passion for sharp objects, Damian had found her amusing enough to remember her this far, but could he remember her name..? Maria, Marina, Mor- Ah! Morgan, that was her name, a real spitfire if he remembered her correctly.
It seemed Kess remembered her as well, or at least her pokemon. She gave an excited bark and looked up to her trainer for permission to go say hello. Damian nodded with a short, “Play nice.” He looked up to fully meet her eyes, well eye, and gave a grin. “Not intruding on anything here, I was letting out Malakai for a little outing. He’s too big to let out in the base.” Also far, far too bloodthirsty, and his favorite meals happened to be people. “Besides the last time you saw him he was only a Shelgon, he hadn’t evolved yet. It’s certainly been a few years, hasn’t it knife girl?”
Relief washed over the dog gang as the Salamence disappeared in a flash of light. Now without worry of being eaten alive, the canines could relax and quite literally shake their fur loose. Until their trainer commanded otherwise, at least. They weren't entirely worried about the other Pokemon that were around, none of them were actually threatening them, so it was just fine. Among all of them, Ivan seemed the most excited. There was a familiar scent among the other Pokemon that he hadn't forgotten-- he hadn't seen Kess in what felt like a dog's age and he was more than happy to see her again. He wasn't waiting for permission to greet her either, as he had already trotted over to her before Morgan even knew what was going on.
"Ehh ? What are you on about ?" Morgan raised an eyebrow, putting on one of her signature dumb expressions. "Yo, I know I'm a big deal around here an' pretty much everyone who matters knows who I am, but--"
It took longer to click than it should have, much longer. She'd been doing great at covering her ass and staying incognito to the rest, but it was only a matter of time before someone recognized her. Really, Ivan's friendly behavior towards the other Mightyena should have given it away, but Ivan was overly friendly towards just about everyone. This Mightyena belonged to someone she knew, her name was Kess, and her trainer was Damian. An old face from Team Magma she never thought she would see again, but then again she'd thought that about every other ex-Magma that showed up. Even the boss himself. Fortunately none of them recognized her as one of their own, until now at least.
"Well well. I was wonderin' how long it would've taken until someone noticed. Countin' the days, even. It's been a year, I'm wounded, truly I am." That's right Seymour, play it cool, don't freak the fuck out. "I got a haircut like I needed-- sort of, an' you ain't changed a bit. Can't say the same for that dragon of yours. He can actually fly now, damn. Bet he's enjoyin' the everlovin' fuck outta that, hmm~ ? Still I'm surprised it took this long for someone to figure me out. Congrats. My little secret is out." Morgan's slightly sarcastic tone covered for the borderline conniption she may or may not have been having on the inside. Why the hell was she so concerned with other Magmas finding out who she was ? She wanted to stay out of things, both her sister and cousin, one who had recently arrived, were still hanging on to their past affiliations for dear life it seemed. She was the only one who didn't care, and preferred to let it be so, her own stupid reasons justified it as far as she was concerned.

"Well. I came before Jamie. So. It's kinda true. Sucks to suck, sis that ain't even here."
What kind of "charactershaming" sign would you hang around my muse's neck?
Do you play any instruments?
I own a guitar (dad bought it for me for Christmas, not this past one but the one before that) but actually I don't. There's not a single musically talented bone in my body-- I waste all that on art, and writing, and slacking off, and sometimes video games... I do play a mean ocarina in Zelda though. Totally counts for something. >D
Munday~
Also Skylar.
Turn it Up | Ellie & Morgan
Nodding her head, the ginger replied, “Yeah, I’ll do that with my own Pokemon too sometimes. This is kind of silly to say this, but Sonya’s the best friend I’ve ever had. Growing up, I never had many friends in school, until I met her on a field trip. So shes been by my side ever since I was ten.” Ellie smiled, thinking back to that moment.
Her attention was brought back to the bluenette mentioning the fungeon. “I guess thats a good thing, although I’m not too bothered by the fungeon. Then again, I wouldn’t ever want to be sent there if I ever got on Proton or Blaise’s bad sides. Other than that, their pretty cool guys.”
"Sebby huh? Well I caught him originally as a Houndour in Johto, which was pretty recent. So I’d say one to two years tops."
Now that was something Morgan understood to some extent. She never really bothered with people all that much growing up either, just a scattered few people here and there. Her younger sister was the real socialite of the family, but since then the bluenette would like to think things had changed. Sort of. At least the people around here were easier to relate to, more tolerable, and that's what she liked.
She rolled over onto her stomach and rested her chin on the arm of the couch nearest her head, letting her arms hang down lazily. "Those two are probably the best friends I have here, though I more or less have multiple. But uh, yeah, I've been down there myself before obviously an' I can say you reaaaally don't wanna end up on the receivin' end of any of it." That was the truth, coming from someone who had actually participated in such acts on the occasion too.
"Two years, huh ? Well that's longer than I've had Cenobia. Only got 'im this past spring along with a few others-- y'know, for work purposes. Everyone knows dogs have a remarkable sense of smell, perfect for trackin' an' all that."
