Disclaimer: I do not hate any characters besides the grape fuck that doesn't exist in canon for me. I talk critically about my favorites the same I do for characters I don't have attachment to. I'm willing to debate but only if you're going to be civil. I enjoy both heroes and villains but will discuss negatives of both.
Started watching MHA again and remembered how much I love Fatgum <3 So much, in fact, that he's even broken my years long curse of 0 fanart motivation :')
Tell me those sweaters weren't asking for some patterns.
I kinda ran out of ideas on what text or image I should put on Kaina's sweater... I can still change it tho. If you have alternative suggestions, I'm all ears!

snow fell in quiet sheets outside the compound, the kind of cold that made every breath sting. you’d been sorting through files at the far end of the room, giving kai space. something he usually preferred. but today, every few minutes, he glanced over his shoulder as if checking that you hadn’t vanished.
when his patience finally ran out, he didn’t bother hiding it. “come closer. i’m not repeating myself. it’s cold and i want you near.”
his voice was calm, clipped, but the command hit you with surprising warmth. kai chisaki didn’t ask for closeness. he didn’t ask for anything unless the want was strong enough to irritate him. you approached slowly, watching the tension in his shoulders ease with every step. he hated the winter, hated how it made the air feel unclean, but you… you were the exception he never said aloud.
“good,” he murmured when you reached him. he didn’t touch you at first when he shifted his chair slightly so your hip brushed the armrest, so he could feel your presence without having to admit he needed it. “finally.”
you raised an eyebrow. “you could’ve just told me you were cold.”
“i did.” he shot you a look, sharp but not unkind. “you just take your time listening.”
his gloved hand moved then, hesitating before resting lightly on your waist. even through the material, his touch was meticulous, like he was cataloging every detail. he leaned closer, just enough that you felt his breath warm the side of your neck.
“winter is inefficient,” he muttered. “slows everything down. lowers focus.” a beat. “i don’t like when you’re far.”
you almost laughed. “is that your way of saying you missed me?”
he tensed, then exhaled. “don’t push it.”
outside, the wind picked up. inside, kai nudged you between himself and the desk, guiding your hands to the edges of his coat as if this closeness were clinical, necessary, logical. but his eyes softened when he looked up at you.
“stay here,” he said quietly. “christmas or not… i work better when you’re close.”
his forehead brushed your neck, enough to reveal everything he couldn’t say.

Pretty sure this is the first time the concept of boybands were mentioned in mha... Idk why but i love the idea of Camie being super into them (bc let's be fr she would be) and Seiji finding them way too corny LOL
Then of course he would start reprimanding her, wouldn't be Seiji otherwise🥴 My favorite part of his personality (which is basically everything hahshhajda)
Also can i add that the nature of her quirk (at least with the way it was presented in this volume) was definitely leaning towards AI generation??? I mean come on, the U.A students sending her prompts, she would push out what's described to her which ends up looking uncanny... it's a pretty clever take imo

On that topic, Camie is so adorable, she's always genuinely kind, but i also LOVE how blunt she can get, i think it compliments Seiji's no-nonsense attitude because she isn't afraid to say shit just to get her point across
She's smart asf too! like she can actually assess people's character beyond their fronts which doesn't fully register to him thanks to his ego, he sees her as a dumbass but she has qualities he desperately needs!!! Just like how she needs to keep her guard up more since she got taken by Toga... Btw i will NEVER get over the fact that he literally apologized to her (off screen) about it, like uuuugh that entire thing ate at him and she's just so sweet about it AAAAAAAAAAA
Head full of Seiji (same) and his traumatizing creations, but she's stressed :[[

AND HOW HER SPIRITS CAME BAAAAACKKK
I also LOVE how this volume highlights the understated part of Seiji's personality, he wants to see others improve (especially in his own school + she asked for his guidance) and is really encouraging without being overzealous about it!! In his own way, ofc :]]
He's still lingering😭😭 probs just as curious since she's texting U.A students 👀 or confused about her use of slangs which wouldn't be surprising considering his voiceline about that
But in my head, he just bonded with his crush classmate and broadened her already wide horizon🥹🙏
