So I've seen that Sydney is getting hate because of posts her/her family have posted on Instagram. While I completely understand the side of why people are attacking her, as a person who has family members with the same ideologies are hers, I don't think the hate is nessicary.
I am an independent voter that leans towards more Liberal/Decomcratic opinions. I have a father, grandmother, aunts, and uncles that are 100% Republican that have MAGA and Blue Lives Matter written all over them and their personalities. Of course, at family BBQs, they wear their right-wing-themed shirts, and I am in pictures standing next to them.
Does this mean I agree with what they are saying? No. So, I think it's unfair for her to be attacked for being in a picture with her family.
We don't know what is happening in their lives. One thing I do know because of personal experiences, it is almost entirely impossible to change another person's political views. And when you have a group of people who are so far into the Trump fan club, it is hard to change them.
The pictures that she posted only have one political shirt in them. She in no way can control what other people post. We need not assume that she shares the same views. If she does, then that is a constitutional right. It is incredibly hypocritical and pointless for Liberal/Democratic people to criticize and hate what the Republican people are doing. Democrats and Republicans see each other as "the problem party."
As long as you aren't hurting anyone, there is no problem. As a democrat, you may think every Trump supporter or republican is a racist and woman hater. As a Republican, you may think every democrat is an ignorant kid that doesn't want to work and needs everything served on a silver platter. Is either of these true for the entire party? Fuck no.
Leave the poor girl alone, and don't criticize her for her family's opinions.
