I'm probably just high on Jimin's Face Album. & JK x Calvin Klien. & all the jikookery that's been wrecking me lately but I figured I'd join in the jikook tumblr world.
I have no idea where this is going or if it will even go anywhere.
This place will probably be a place for me to share JM.JK.Jikook love, maybe some unnecessary thoughts I have. Because Jimin's Face Album is making me feel some type of way.
Oh and maybe some sharing of my journey learning Korean.

This whole Yoongi situation has made me realise that this fandom is capable of achieving whatever they want, but ONLY if they WANT to.
The way I’ve seen them move for Yoongi is so bittersweet. On one hand, I’m so happy that they didn’t allow K-pop stans or anyone else to drag him through the mud. Report GCs were created and accounts were reported quickly & quietly! On the other, I’m bitter because the realisation that they could do the very same for Jimin if they wanted to but choose not to, hit me!
Solos and Taekookers have been harassing Jimin and his father for so long till Kmedia picked up on it, forcing his father to delete his pictures off his Instagram account.
That is a very sad state of affairs. Why can’t a father celebrate his son’s achievements however he deems fit? JM doesn’t have a problem with it, so why should anyone falsely accuse and harass his father over it???
As if that’s not bad enough, i saw only but a handful of armys talking about it, and even then, they bundled all shippers together to avoid calling out the actual culprits!
Since I joined this fandom back in late 2022, I’ve never seen armys afraid to call out Jikookers and pjms, but suddenly when it comes to jk solos and Taekookers, they prefer not to get into specifics and simply say solos and shippers. Why is that? Why is it that they are able to call out some shippers and solos by name but not able to call out other shippers and solos???🤔
Anyway, realizing that this fandom could have gotten rid of all those vile accounts that constantly harass JM for literally just breathing, but they chose not to is breaking my heart so bad right now.
My head keeps going like “oh so they can do it? But why haven’t they?” Over and over and over again.

I'm going to probably explain this really badly 😝 but here goes.
I was wondering about your thoughts on how they used sound clips that were not from the footage the viewer is seeing in ep. 3? I'm not sure what you would call this type of editing but a moment I found peculiar was when they were trying on the North Face clothes.
We see the 3 of them going through the items/trying different things on, then we see JK trying a jacket, then Jimin with a jacket on turning around.
The audio doesn't match. You hear JK talk about the clothes. Then Jimin asking how he looks to JK. (not to mention how the messed up subtitle saga continues 🙄)
The second time I noticed the same type of editing happen was at the end of the episode at the go-kart place. After JK did his circling of his go-kart in front of Jimin & Taehyung, we see Jimin do that frog thing lol then we have a wide shot including both scenery and them in the corner chatting, then a drone shot, and the audio is of Jimin & JK talking about the day's activities with added music as well.
This second case felt right to me. It gave a bit of reflection and wrapped up the episode.
But in the first case, I’m a bit confused. What was the creative choice there?
Not having appropriate footage of them (i.e. 1 person was not decent/not covered up) when they were having that conversation trying on the clothes? Then why use the audio at all? There wasn’t consistency in the use of this type of editing choice so it stuck out to me.
Anyways, just looking for some insight from someone with knowledge such as you.

Hello there! I'm so thrilled you sent this in! I love chatting about this stuff and you helped me notice something with this scene as well.
To your point, yes, there are usually a few reasons why editors will play audio from one scene as a voiceover for another.
It's an extremely useful tool for transitions, helping to build a bridge between two scenes.
In traditional TV and movies it's also most frequently used as a bandaid to cover when they want to change the lines an actor says after they've already been filmed.
It also can be purely stylistic. They did this in this episode at the end of the bit where vmin talk to jk on his bike for their mafia/hitman role play. The final dialogue as a voiceover helped continue the fun and fantastical moment.
For the moment you mentioned when they're changing clothes, I suspect it's edited this way purely as a utility for one reason: The guys aren't wearing their mics so there was no audio that matched up with the moment they decided to show. I'd easily wager there was a brand deal with the North Face to have the members wear some of these clothes as product placement. In that case, brands usually will have requirements about how much screentime specifically highlights their product and my even require approval of the final segment. The guys are obviously used to this so they made sure to record some good dialogue when they did have their mics on but the footage we got is more dynamic than them just complimenting straightforward to a camera. That would be my guess as to why this specific moment was edited like this.
Fun fact though: Tae never put his mic back on after getting out of the pool until after they put these clothes on. And JK only donned his while JM was taking that pic that was only the top of Tae's head. I'd wager they flipped the chronology of when Tae took his scooter ride cuz he and JK both have mics on when he gets back and I highly doubt Tae wouldn't have walked right by him if Jimin was still asleep on the ground when he got back.
Anyway, thanks again for the ask. I may be incorrect about why anything was done this specific way in these episodes but it's fun to chat about the possibilities.

Personally, I have wanted to see Jikook in this kind of setting for a very long time. I'm still in awe that we get to see the Jikook we missed so much during 2023.
We were wondering what they were up to, and here they are showing us how they made time to have fun, make memories, and just enjoy each other's presence during a stressful time leading up to MS.
It's a gift.
And nothing is going to mess with my Jikook experience.

have we talked already about JK telling Jimin he looked super pretty when he arrived (and then chaos ensued lol) ? Because he doesn't say great. He says PRETTY. And honestly that makes me feel weak at the knees
Massive streaming drop since Thursday. Surely we can watch the jikook show AND stream Muse, Who, Be Mine etc. These are Jimin gifts for us while he is away. Let’s keep up the appreciation!
I just feel bad for jimin so far in the first two episodes. Like from his actual experience (sickness, mosquitos, etc,), to the hate he's getting now, to JK just being kinda bleh (IMO of course).....

I want to clarify something before the first episode of Jimin and Jungkook’s show airs. I also want to address this to avoid receiving certain types of messages.
I believe no one with common sense expects to see Jimin and Jungkook kissing or claiming they've been married for 40 years and have 30 children. No one anticipates sexual or explicit behaviour. We—and by "we," I mean myself and the followers of this blog—are quite clear on what we can expect from this show. We know what we want to see in this show, and that is Jimin and Jungkook being happy. Enjoying themselves together. Creating experiences and memories that belong solely to them. That is what we look forward to.
So, no one needs to explain to us what to expect, what we will see, or what we won’t. No one needs to come and "burst our bubble" of hope. No one needs to insult us or be condescending about the show. We are not stupid. We understand that if Jimin and Jungkook truly have a romantic relationship, they will not disclose it—this is common sense! We do expect to see Jikook jikooking because that is what they do. They can’t really help it. It will be funny to see them in such situations without the other members interfering or without the editors using clips of other members to distract us from what Jimin and Jungkook did or said. We do expect to see that, but beyond that, we have no greater expectations because we KNOW they can’t reveal anything about their relationship that would put them in danger, assuming Jikook is real.
So again, no, you do not need to come to my blog with that type of Asks. You do not need to come to my blog to explain anything. You do not need to come to my blog to burst any bubbles. You do not need to come to my blog, period. And if you come to my blog after this, your ask will be blocked. It’s as simple as that, so save me the trouble.
