48) “Let’s pretend I didn’t see you do that”
Since you didn’t send a ship, I’ll guess who you are and say you wanted IiChako :3c I also take this as an opportunity to write something for @iichako-week’s today’s prompt (Day 5: Family/Proposal), so thank you very much!
Ochako usually wakes up to endearing eyes looking at her with a little smile. They’re mostly accompanied by caresses to her cheeks, back, shoulder or the curve of her waist, depending on how much did the blankets cover that night. Sometimes, his fingers get entangled in her hair and that’s what makes her eyes open. It doesn’t matter what kind of affection she’s receiving in the morning, Tenya’s always the first to be awake.
Today’s slightly different. There’s no man on the other side of the bed they’ve been sharing for a year. Maybe it’s too late? But it’s a free day for both of them, so there shouldn’t be any hurries. Ochako rolls over a bit to read the wall clock. She doesn’t. Her eyes close again and her body halts.
“Did I wake you up?!” Tenya’s voice sounds so cute when he whispers. Ochako’s very sure he’s in a karate-chop pose right now and it makes it hard not to laugh. She seems calm enough to her boyfriend, apparently. “That was close,” he sights in relief. “You can sleep in a little more, I’ll wake you up in a while. I think you’ll love this day. I will if you do.” A kiss to her forehead and he goes.
“Let’s pretend I didn’t see you do that,”, Ochako says to herself, still in shock and way too excited. Tenya’s words confirmed what she glimpsed a few seconds ago. The moment she sees that little box on his right hand again, it’ll be a miracle if she doesn’t explode with the biggest yes! she’s ever yelled.
