Look. Ever since this episode first aired (however long ago that was), I’ve thought “WHAT IF IIDA OVERHEARD?!”*

And since I’m on my BNHA renaissance, I finally sat down and scribbled out my vision.

(*To be fair, I was also just glad that he was included as an option).

MHA Characters and their Favorite (Western) Romance Movies!

A lot of these choices are gut feelings but I really do think this is the kind of romance movie she would enjoy heavily (Momo is definitely a sucker for the rich s/o who falls for someone lower-middle class)

What can I say, this man doesn't go for cheap, young-love flings in movies. He will, however, go into a deep-dive about the most serious, drama-driven plotlines about two adults finding each other and ramble about the rivoting beauty of it (he and Momo are both dedicated Julia Roberts fans).

This man's guilty pleasures are medieval fairytales and love stories (Shakespeare, Tolkien, and other classic works of literature? he's on that shit). He especially loves knight-princess love stories but he'll never admit it.

shinsou found out but neither judged or told anyone

Shinsou doesn't really watch much romance movies unless Hizashi forces them into watching one of his choices during family movie night (because let's face it the adopted Shinsou into the Aizawa-Yamada family is a universal fanon necessity). He probably watched this for a class one year and thought "yeah, this is pretty all right" and that was that

monoma happily insisted the two of them rewatch this film together when he found out

Uraraka loves loves LOOOOOOVES romances of every sort! Movies, books, real-life cases, you name it :) I headcanon that when she was a little girl this was a movie both her parents loved and maybe even watched together on a first date so it just became a core memory for Uraraka and she just adores how romantic even just the aesthetic of this film is.

(I feel like Iida would really like this movie too, so Uraraka would probably have Iida and maybe even Deku too rewatch this film with her at some point <3)
