Looking back to you, he winces when he sees your expression, hearing that probably didnât help any.

He moves a little closer to you, still not sure about you but hating to see such sadness on someone that looks so much like his dear mate.
âIf, uh, your Embris is somehow at my place they have license to look through all my embarassing stuff too,â
The discussion of something like sincere feelings is like pulling teeth, and that you look so earnest about it is worse. Theyâre looking absolutely everywhere except your face.
âYeah, no, thatâs fair, you got no reason to believe Iâd care about any of that. But. Iâve read about the things that go on and I donât wanna be a part of that.â
God, do they sound naive or what? They chance looking at your face anyways.

He looks a little worried at the thought that his Embris is stuck somewhere strange and probably dangerous, but he knows they can handle themself. Itâd be amusing how awkward you look if the mood wasnât rather somber. You find him studying you curiously when you look at him, his head tilted slightly.
âYes. Theyâre doing much better, though they still deal with some after effects.â
Looking down at his phone, he thinks a moment before holding it out to you, offering to let you look at some more pictures if you want to.
âTheyâre helming their own ship now, and the port at the base of their neck they had put in themself.â
