i am once again getting pissed off at seeing the golden wind cast all drawn as sheets of fucking paper. or like. the darkest of them (always narancia or mista) being barely tan. what are you guys doing. i dont care that theyre kind of pale in the anime. theyre in fucking italy and they evidently are outside a decent amount. WHY ARE THEY SHEETS OF PAPER. STYLISTIC CHOICE? GET A BETTER STYLE

random headcanons from my sugar system au:

fugo mostly listens to bands like depeche mode, the cure, and later on, evanescence

fugo has been made fun of for his music taste (mostly by narancia), so he doesnt like other people knowing about it.

fugo is a quarter north african. his father is half southern italian and half north african, and his mother is fully italian

mista is italian and middle eastern

both of them dont have a connection to their heritage outside of Being Italian.

amaretto exclusively listens to classical instrumentals (if she ever listens to music).

cassata listens to abba, 70's pop, and oldie jazz.

sultana listens to anything she can get her hands on. she "wastes" a lot of fugos money on cds if shes left to her own devices long enough.

i was thinking about the sugar system au properly for the first time in a while and im reworking some stuff...... not major plot (aside from removing phf from being canon to it) or anything but mostly some minor changes so that the end of the story builds up better

HOW TO BE A RESPONSIBLE COLLEGE STUDENT:

-> have an essay due -> barely touch it -> my carpal tunnel is acting up because of how much typing ive been doing -> essay is due in like three days -> oh but ive been thinking about making a homestuck video essay. -> start scripting video essay -> oh my hands hurt why is that?

Italian folk, generally speaking, is pretty religious, especially older generations. That leads me to think that Mista believes in god - his whole family is pretty devout, no wonder he picked up on it growing up in such environment. Not to say that he’s pious, Guido goes to church every once in a while, he doesn’t pray before meals nor does he ever read bible (even though I’m sure he was forced to as a kid, he even found it interesting at times but religious texts were too complicated for him to fully comprehend at that age).

He is baptised and wears his cross at any given time, it’s a big hefty thing too, hard to miss if it’s not underneath his clothes - a thick silver chain with an ornamented cross hanging off of it. He’s had it for as long as he can remember, that’s the cross he was baptised with - his father picked it out himself, the man kept repeating with a wide smile as Guido was but a stripling.

His faith especially shows during longer missions, the kind where he’s far away from home, risking his life numerous times throughout the day, not even knowing wether he’ll make it home in one piece or not. It’s not uncommon to see him sitting quietly with his eyes closed, thick cross clasped tightly in one of his hands as his lips move in a silent prayer. He’s a hypocrite, he knows - he kills people for money, money he’s rather fond of and greedy for - that’s going against all of god’s teachings. Mista loves blowing said money off on luxuries, pretty women, expensive wine and all sorts of delicacies. There’s no place in heaven for a man like him, Guido is painfully aware of it, yet he can’t help himself praying and begging for forgiveness as he lies in bed late at night, pictures of all killed by him flashing before his eyes. Maybe, just maybe, he will get his redemption one day.

i will admit it would work SO much better if giorno were carrie for the sake of having a mother that hates his existence, but carries mother was also EXTREMELY controlling of her and so. fugo.

reasonably a lot of people would be out of character but OH WELL!

not making a hate post of transmasc giorno i love that shit ill snort it but like...... what if the reason his dead name is feminine is because his mom wanted a daughter?

what if she was so pissed she got pregnant, and even more upset when she had a son. the least the world couldve done is give her a kid she could relate to.
