You know, humans would probably be VERY soft to Inphernals.
Mini-Ramble here because I am sore and tired AF today, but I was looking at that body type post that Soda had made and I realized that...Inphernals have VERY little body fat on all their parts.
Even the "bulkier" ones, like Ban Hammer and Boombox, lack body fat as they are more "strong fat" then "soft fat", you know?
It made me realize that Inphernals are probably almost all muscle and have very little body fat. I mean, even that lazy rich prick, Moneybags III, isn't a typical "fat and rich" dude--despite his privileged lifestyle.
So, it makes me wonder if Inphernal foods don't have lots of sugars or fats in them like a majority of human food does.
For example, humans use multiple types of sweeteners, fats, carbs, and other high-calorie additions to our everyday diets. We also add conditioners to help with vitamins and keeping mineral deficiency at a minimum, like adding calcium to bread to prevent rickets/leg bowing syndrome, crossbreeding veggies/fruits to make them plumper and more vitamin/calorie dense (carrots, corn, and more), or adding probiotics to our food for stronger gut health and such.
Yet, humans also have a LARGE selection of food at their disposal (I mean, our planet is FAR larger than the Inpherno), and our complex cultures have reared multiple types of cuisines and dishes that vary from region to region.
In the Inpherno, I don't think the Inphernals would have those types of luxuries.
From what we can see on the menu of Thieves Rest, Inphernals do have sugar, veggies, meat, and a couple of other things like eggs and such to make their dishes. Yet, I think most of their things are created artificially or organically in select areas that are made for farming.
I do understand that the world is depicted in a simpler way in the game, as Crossroads is stated to have THREE layers and not just a flat area with a tower, so some of these layers will probably house labs for synthesizing sugar/meat/other additives, or the outermost regions of the areas would be for farming creatures and livestock for food.
I don't know the SCALE of these programs or companies, but I do know that Slingshot is buying his goods from SOMEWHERE and using them to bake with or cook, as someone somewhere milled wheat, that turned into flour, which Slingshot turns into bread. So someone is either growing wheat somewhere or they have a artificial product that ACTS like milled wheat.
So, Inphernals probably have a lot more artificial stuff that they eat, as their world is more compact than our own, and certain regions would only be able to grow limited amounts of certain foodstuffs for their local populations that live in harsh conditions. Like the endless winter in the rocky tundra of Blackrock, the rainforest-like conditions of Thieves Den, or the drought-prone deserts of The Lost Temple.
That would make the food industry, or supply chain logistics, one of the more profitable and in-demand industries in all of the Inpherno.
As a result, Inphernals don't have the high calorie diets that humans have. They may have a high PROTEIN diet, but not a high CALORIE one, as I imagine that sugar must be one of the most expensive items to purchase, and the same could be said for other spices.
We love stuffing our faces with candy, sugary drinks, selectively bred veggies, plump fruits, and MANY other things that increase our calorie intake, such as snacks and other junk foods. As an obvious result of that, humans would have more body fat in comparison to Inphernals.
You would be MUCH softer to the touch than an Inphernal, as your body fat is distributed evenly all throughout your body and is concentrated into certain "pockets" that store your excess. Like your stomach, thighs, chest, back, and such.
So if an Inphernal ever hugged you for any reason, it would probably feel like hugging a cloud or squishing into a VERY soft bed. Your warmth would also transfer over to them and it would make them not want to let go.
You, on the other hand, are being crushed by your MUCH stronger companion that seems to like holding onto you in such a way for a LITTLE too long! XD
Yes. This also plays into what I have been rambling about on other posts.
Humans would probably smell and taste very good to Inphernals because of our high calorie and sugary diets. We're like living candy meat to them and it's no wonder why they will tend to lose themselves a little while holding onto the warm, squishy, and vulnerable meatsack that they got their claws on. >: 3
