Update
This last week I found myself looking at story structures and imagery. I feel that for a piece like Forever Forest, I need to have these two work cohesively. I also got into a discussion between the relationship between live action and animation. The main point of discussion was ‘why animate, when you could shoot in live action?
Robleto structure
After learning about the Robleto structure, I began thinking about having the visuals follow a structure, just as poems do. The visuals need to accompany the poem as oppose to illustrate it’s words.I feel that the line of repetition in the written piece can be complemented by a repeated visual motif/theme.
After having this train of thought, it occurred to me that perhaps my visuals are too literal and physical. I’m aiming to create more of an experience of the forest , as opposed to simply having a scenario play out.

A media test to try out the style
A media test
Forever Forest by Zano Matondo I know a place called Forever Forest. Trees tall as the sky is wide. Boundless reach with embrace both welcoming and sincere. Cold. Wet. Breathe. There's a hopelessness. A guest and host. I know the space where they blur Amongst the bistered bark and earth bereft....
