moving from new york city to los angeles , california at fourteen years old for her mom’s talk show promotion was a huge change especially for a young black girl from the not so suburbs in manhattan. her whole life changed on and off that flight when she realized this is really it now. her uncle bill bray , who was the bodyguard for the jackson 5’s lead singer michael , suggested that they’d stay with him until their house was fully furnished and finished. being around the jackson’s wasn’t anything new to me due to my father being a security guard for celebrities as well but it was kind of different because… why was michael lowkey like really cute 😞.

being around the jackson’s made me realize i wanted to start singing. so i asked my parents to sign me up for lessons and that’s exactly what they did ! i was taking singing lessons everyday after school and on saturday after we cleaned. at sixteen years old, i realeased a single that went semi viral with 100,000 sells off the rip!! after the success of the solo, i took a little break to actually perfect my craft and finished my high school years. attending howard university for two years in 1978 & 1979 before dropping out and persuing music again. my parents were obviously not happy with the drop out but at least my career started to skyrocket and so did the money 😉.
i had won my first grammy in 1982 & finally moved into my beverly hills estate with my beautiful amazing stunning gorgeous perfect hottie boyfie michael jackson ( who doesn’t live with me but let’s just pretend he does okay? ok )
