succession mutuals i IMPLORE you to watch repo the genetic opera okay i know it sucks but its literally succession if succession was a shitty 2000s y2k goth rock opera and the company was about repossessing organs. its straight up about a rich family and the dad is dying and his 3 kids (2 boys 1 girl and the girl is the youngest) fighting over who gets the company.

yes it sucks. its low budget and was adapted from a stageplay.

the film is an opera. everything is sung.

i didnt even mention the main plot and I won't for spoiler related reason but I promise thats just as insane and depraved and its about a seperate father and daughter and generational trauma. its very flowers in the attic.

its set in a dystopian cyberpunk goth future

paris hilton plays amber sweet, the daughter i was mentioning above.

its directed by the guy who directed several of the Saw films

theres so much hidden lore about this film and how it even came to be made as well as the characters and worldbuilding thats super interesting

it has an overarching theme about plastic surgery and the desire to not age/die/always look beautiful and its very meta considering it was made in 2008 and we have only gotten Worse.

so much sex. so much blood and guts and gore.
