Tumblr Backups Via Python

My name is meeedeee and I’ve been in fandom for 20 years working on many fandom history and preservation projects. You might get a DM from me in the next few days offering to help you back-up your blog using the python tools. You can read more about it here.

On a side note, I tried using the Tumblr export tool on my blog with 14,000 entries. It took them 4 days to get it ready. But because it is a single14GB zip file, my browser will not download it.  I was able to download the contents using the python method in an hour.
