An offered hand certainly perks Ilima’s courage back up to regular levels. He smiles and takes it without hesitation, allowing Tsunami to help him down into the boat like he was a princess being helped out of a carriage at a ball.

“Such a gentleman, thank you.”

“’s nothin grand. Make yer’self comfortable. I’ll get t’ work disembarking us.” Tsunami would say with a confident thumbs up before he’d set to untying his boat from the docks and driving it out towards the open waters.

“Right, I’ll be waiting for you down below then.”

Ilima does as asks and goes inside the boat to find a seat. He finds a reasonably comfortable and secure looking chair and sits in it, feeling quite calm and compased until the boat starts moving.

He’s able to keep his cool for a while, but as the seconds tick by, his anxiety grows, and he finds himself clinging more tightly to the chair until his nails were digging into the material. Water rushes past the nearby window at what looks to be faster than light, though logically he knew his friend wouldn’t be hitting any unsafe speeds. He shuts his eyes and tries not to picture the vessel heading for the open mouth of an enormous monster.

“I…. I suppose that’s as good an option as any.”

He casts a nervous glance at the fishing boat, trying not to betray the way that his stomach just did a tiny flip. It looks very safe and friendly, bobbing on the surface of the water next to the dock. But out on the open water, at the mercy of the skies and pokemon from the depths… Well, the ferry would be just as bad, if not worse.

Ilima smiles.

“…I’ll trust in your skills as a sea captain, then.”

Well, he was glad at the very least that Ilima had gone as far as to say that he trusted Tsunami’s thoughts on this matter. Looking up at Ilima on the docks, Tsunami would hold out his hand to the other man. “Well then let’s try this idea out right now. Jus’ fer a bit.” It’d be pointless of them to just stand around agreeing to this after all. Action spoke more depth than words as to just how well this would do.
