In a reality violently created by Wanda Maximoff after the loss of her children, the "House of M", referring to the House of Magnus, rules over the island of Genosha and large parts of a world in which mutants are the dominant species.
The House is led by King Erik Magnus and his wife, Queen Sofía Magnus, who are said to have formed an allegiance of convenience so they could bring a new dawn upon mutantkind, and that they have fallen in love with each other along the way. But if someone were to take a look behind the curtains, they would see that appearances are deceitful.
As the lines between reality and fake begin to blur, Erik and Sofía realise that maybe the true enemy isn't humankind, but the person sleeping next to them.

Taking the opportunity to introduce my most recent Marvel OC, whose story takes place in another Broken Bonds universe. I'm currently watching all of the Netflix Marvel shows for the first time and am absolutely loving what I've seen so far, mwah.

Moira's story takes place in the same universe that introduces Frank Castle as Sofía's love interest, though Moira is the one who actively interacts with and supports the Defenders, while Sofía's story, at this moment, is primarily intertwined with Frank's and Jessica's (in regards to IGH).

Sorry for the late reply. I let this sit in my drafts and I’m just now editing. Anyways, my first attempt at writing teenage!Blythe and teenage!Rhea, let’s be nice about it since I’ve lost my groove 🫣
“I hate him! I hate him!”
The door slamming echoed behind two girls. Rhea stumbled with beady red eyes, boots shuffling aimlessly across the brick floor with Blythe accompanied a few paces behind her. She was confident that even in her inebriated state, Rhea could make it to their guest quarters unharmed, but Lord Yobert insisted that she saw to her safety.
Rhea crashed onto her bed on her back, sheets crimson as the fire and blood her soon-to-be husband took as an oath rather than a house mantra.
“I cannot stand that smug, silver haired cunt.” She ranted as her honey brown eyes rolled up to the canopy draping above her. Red, fiery red everywhere with black trim- like ash and coal. Even red in her ember glass cups she downed that evening. “You would think him more peacock than dragon with how superior he thinks himself.”
Blythe, rummaged through her friends’ light wardrobe- a select few outfits prepared for their time at Kingslanding, despite being told to pack more. “You’re just as arrogant, Rhea.” She told her as she picked out the hanger that hung a thin cotton chestnut colored nightgown.
“Not in the way he is.” As the nightgown plopped over the Royce’s body, she turned her head to see a glare of disagreement from her blonde companion. “It’s true! My arrogance has substance, his arrogance comes from his blood.” She shoved the nightgown off her, head too clouded by arbor red to pull her clothes off.
A long sigh fell from Blythe’s chest as she sat on the edge of the bed and unlaced Rhea’s boots. “His arrogance comes from a plethora of things. His looks, his dragon, his bloodline, his brother.”
“Oh, yes- his brother.” A few suspicious glances between the two were exchanged across the table that evening when they noted Aemma’s exhausted state. Eyes worn and heavy, quiet as Viserys japed and entertained the guests. They both silently agreed that Viserys’ intentions for their dearest Aemma were not honorable. “Will you poison me if I ever become miserable as Aemma, Blythe?”
She pulled each loosened boot off her feet, a small smile curling on her lips. “Of course. I’ll even shoot you if you want.”
“I’d have a lovely view before I go.”
Blythe must’ve looked like a porcelain doll. Blonde curls pinned up with apple red cheeks, the flush spread down to her chest. She hated how she blushed, so pale and obvious. Rhea tried every move to make her ruddy; a smug, toothy grin and shoulder nudge was the reward for such bashfulness.
Rhea’s hand reached out to take hers, her touch warmed her better than any vintage did. Though the wine did make her feel fuzzy and less reserved than usual. “You’re my favorite person, you know that?”
The Coldwater girl squeezed her hand gently, nodding softly at the beautiful mess that was her best friend. A lopsided grin, eyes that showered her with love even in a haze, her brown waves and braids frizzed and unraveled. She cursed herself for not being a dragon prince. “I know.”
okay hardening diamonds is my hotd oc fic, a classic daughter of rhaenyra but with a twist. the, naerys, is born with albinism which makes everyone believe she is true born even when she’s a daughter of harwin. she is about 60% blind and very ill after getting the shivers.

hi nia!!! thank you so much for asking about them, I don't think I've ever truly talked about them here! the past days have been busy, so sorry for the late reply.
I want to note that I haven't read the comics or seen the animated shows, only the movies, so I'm mainly following that storyline (I do, however, ignore apocalypse because what even was that </3)
Starting with Brooke, who is an introverted but kind, considerate, and courageous person always trying to do the right thing. She grew up in a very loving home (she and her two siblings are adopted), and her early life was rather 'uneventful', despite her mutant powers manifesting quite early. She was only six years old when her pathokinesis started to take shape. Even though it was an 'invisible' power, being able to sense other people's emotions, her parents were strict when it came to Brooke using her powers, as they didn't want her to get taken away. Later in life, she found a way to use her powers without drawing any attention to herself by working as a therapist.
During First Class, she was recruited by Erik and Charles as there was potential for more slumbering within her. With the help of the two men and the rest of the group, Brooke was able to enhance her pathokinesis, gaining the ability to control and manipulate emotions of other living beings. She also uncovered her opinokinesis, which gives her control of the senses, and her hypnosis abilities, though in a very early state. During the events of First Class, she grew closest to Cat, Charles, and especially Erik, who saw great potential in her. In the end, Brooke stayed with Charles, as she didn't agree with Erik's ideas.
Over the years, Brooke focused on enhancing her powers while also caring for Charles. At this point, she was able to not only tell people what to do by hypnosis but also take over their consciousness. However, those abilities are reserved for 'emergencies' only, as she believes it's unethical to use them in almost all cases.
During Days of Future Past, she's part of Charles' team, helps break Erik out of prison and save the day at the end. Originally, she would have been one of the early victims of the Sentinels in the future. After that, she starts working as a teacher at Charles' school. Whatever happens between her and Erik afterwards remains to be seen. I was toying with the idea of giving them a child but I'm not sure yet, I'll have to work on them more.
Now, Catalina is probably the polar opposite of Brooke. Very extroverted and talks without a filter. She is, however, rather laid-back and not too energetic, ironically. Cat is the daughter of Spanish immigrants and is very connected to her culture. Family means everything to her, and once she sees her friends as family, she grows very protective of them, which has gotten her into trouble a few times. Her mutant powers manifested at the age of 16 during an unfortunate incident, in which she accidentally injured a fellow student. She's able to generate and manipulate energy, which she could only channel into her hands at first (very similar to Shego's powers, only that Cat's generated energy is pink).
Her true powers remained secret until she was also recruited by Charles and Erik during First Class. Cat was closest to Brooke, Raven and Alex, and helped encourage the latter with his powers by being very annoying on purpose. They ended up bonding and, at some point, discovered a sort of synergy between their powers. Alex can basically charge her up like a battery, or rather, Cat can absorb his plasma blast and overcharge her own powers with it. This led to the evolution of her powers so that her whole body can channel them at once, which also grants her the ability to fly during that state.
During Days of Future Past, she's absent during the past, but an older version of her is actively fighting the Sentinels in the future and dies in that fight. After all that is dealt with, she'll also become a teacher at Charles' school and live out her days with Alex and their two kids because he gets to survive here :)
Oh, and as for the names; Brooke is known as Pathos and Cat as Solar!
