I love the idea of an AU where the tragedy never happened and Vincent has to grow up through Lacie’s legacy as the future sacrifice to the Abyss. Seeing paintings of her all over the manor and feeling her overbearing presence in the way people look at him (especially Jack), kind of haunting him to the point where he starts hallucinating her ? Gothic literature style

I like to portray her as a spirit leading him toward the acceptance of his own inevitable death (not that he really needs the help but yk…)
