“I’m sorry, sir, but I’ma have to confiscate those wings for the safety of our fine community. It’s a matter of national security. Hands up and back away from the hot sauce. You know the drill.” Stiles drawled lazily, adjusting his belt as he dropped into the seat in front of Scott.

“You’ll never take me alive, copper.” Scott said, doing his best gangster impression. He pulled his plate in closer, knowing that nothing could keep Stiles’s grabby hands away. “Don’t you have some loiterers to bust or something?”

“I wish you luck with that, Scott.” And she did. Kira sometimes took a bit of charming. “Did you bring it up with her?”

“She’s doing it for the right reasons. I want to be supportive, I do. I just need a little spicy wings every once in a while.” He wiped his fingers clean. “How have things been, Lydia?”

“That he is, but don’t worry, I can handle him, Scott.” She admitted, as she returned the other’s smile. “Us women have ways of figuring things out. We don’t always rely on other’s to tell us.”

Scott snorted. He doubted anyone could really handle Stiles, even after all these years. “Don’t worry, I’ll try to charm Kira if she finds out. I’m just so tired of rabbit food, I need to eat something that flapped!”

“They sort of become my thing when I’m married to Stiles.” She countered, fingers picking at the wing, before she shook her head in disbelief. “You know she’ll find out right?”

“He’s a bad influence, you’re going to have to be careful with him.” Scott shoved another wing in his mouth and gave Lydia a saucy smile. “Not if you don’t tell her! we all have to keep a few secrets, right?”

“You know it is nice to share sometimes, McCall.” The redhead retorted, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “But I know better than to ask you to stop.”

“I didn’t think wings were your kind of thing, Lydia.” He said, returning her smile as he slid the plate over so she could reach. “Just don’t tell Kira I’m eating them. She’s trying to get us to be healthier.”

Scott yawned, stretching his arms up over his head until his back cracked. After a long week at the vet clinic pulling double shifts, it was time to enjoy a little bit of his weekend. "You can stay, but I’m not gonna stop eating!”
