Shawn and Jo tie the Knot -1
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Jo asks with a frown. Shawn looks pale and jittery, a sheen of sweat glistening on his temples. It might be the heat. It’s the middle of July and Rome is packed with tourists. The heatwave that has rolled over Italy made it seem like the concrete would melt off the streets in the high temperatures and the air glimmers in the midday sun.
“Yes, yes, I’m good,” Shawn says, running a hand through his hair as they walk underneath the lemon trees back to the hotel. He adjusts the strap of his Canon camera that sits over his shoulder as he has tried to capture every moment of their trip like the proper tourist he is.
After spending a few days at the Amalfi coast, they decided to prolong their vacation with a stay over in Rome to visit all the museums and eat all the gelato. Jo’s feet hurt in her sandals from walking around the Eternal City and he’s a little overwhelmed by all the art and impressive architecture everywhere. They have visited the Pantheon and Villa Borghese and she was starting to feel hungry, craving a good plate of pasta. They were in Italy after all. Where else would she have unlimited access to ice cream, pizza, and pasta?
