HELP I CANβT STOP LAUGHING HELPPPPP
Send me a βfor an aesthetic of our characters.
βDid you want to speak to me or continue stand here like a bunch of stones and wait for the moss to grow on us?β Rebekkah asked.
v: the healer
Rebekkah didnβt really expected to be found in the Hinterlands.Β Β She was working on helping whoever needed her help.Β Β She travelled the expance of Ferelden doing what she could to fight Darkspawn, Red Templars, anything she couldβit was like she was back fighting The Blight.Β Β (DA:I era, Companion Verse)
v: warden contact
Rather than Alistair, Stroud, or Loghain, Hawkeβs Warden contact is her cousin Rebekkah.Β Β The one who has been missing for quite a while.Β Β She is more than willing to help take out another Ancient Tevinter Darkspawn and stop the Wardens from themselves if she has to.Β Β Of course sheβs not even a real Grey Warden anymore.
v: she stayed
Rebekkah after she was cured for the Blight, she remained Arlessa of Armaranthine, however Alistair granted it to the Grey Wardens and several of the former Grey Wardens took the cure.Β The Warden of the Grey and Ferelden are not openly hostile but there is a mutual dislike because the Hero of Ferelden has for the second time in the history of Thedas defied what should be possible, escaped what should have been the natural order of things. Β Yet it is High Constable that makes the suggestion before ordering the killing of the Ferelden Wardens that former Warder Commander Rebekkah Amell has given them a useful tool. Β A cure to the Blight Plague for people during times it is not war, and imagine what it might do to a Darkspawn.
Agreements are made, a tower is built for the next group of Grey Wardens as they will not live out of Amaranthine. Β Β Word makes it to the Arlessa that the Rite of Annulment is being used on all mages. Β Cassandra Pentaghast shows up at her door.
v: king and i
Companion Cailan Verse.Β Β This can branch out into other verses.Β Β Basically adventures with Team Grey Wardens.Β Β Theyβre a bunch of trouble makers.Β Β Just ask Alistair.
v: hawkβd
Rebekkah was raised by the Hawke family when Revka and Charlus realize what is happening.Β Β They have already lost two children and beg their cousin to take Rebekkah.Β Β This is years before her magic manifests.Β Β When it does, she accidentally freezes her older cousin Hawke to the ground.Β Β She is not the Hero of Ferelden, but she was a refugee that left with her family to Kirkwall.
v: eyes up guardian
Rebekkah Amell was killed for her crafting a cure to the Blight.Β Β Β Thousands of years later, she is resurrected by a Ghost named Spectre.Β Β Sheβs not his first Guardian.Β Β He didnβt expect to find another person he could call friend.Β Β Rebekkah is out of her own comfort zone.Β Β Rebekkah now has to learn a brand new way of living and discovering that whatever the past was, will repeat in very different ways.
v: warden contact
Rebekkah is her cousin Hawkeβs warden contact.Β Β Β Sheβs the one the Inquisition meets and threatens them on first meeting.Β Β Totally unimpressed with them chasing her cousin.
v: warden of nothing
Basically Rebekkah is cured of the Blight but still serves as her cousinβs Warden Contact, she knows how things work and never could keep her nose out of anything.Β Β
One of the reasons Rebekkah started burying herself in books is so she didnβt have to talk to people.Β Β Eventually she found books she liked.Β Β It was how she became fascinated in herbalism, healing magics, botany.Β Β And βI did not know the human body could twist that way.βΒ
Rebekkah kept three journals.
1. A recorded history of the Blight that reads like a history book, dry, uninteresting.Β Β She wrote it like that on purpose.
2.Β Herbology, the plants they came across and how they worked in the various potions, etc.
3. Drawing book, she kept this personal and hidden at all times.
There has been more than once where Rebekkah has wanted to runaway from the Grey Wardens.Β Β Often it feels like a prison, like the Circle but the thing that kept her from doing that is her cousin.Β Β When they showed up, she was about ready to blow up the Keep.Β Β The Darkspawn can have it she thought before her cousin walked in.Β Β Things changed after that.Β Β They had to change.Β Β Rebekkah knew she was burning out.Β Β So she took her in training cousin for a ride away from stodgy Senior Wardens because she is THE HERO OF FERELDEN AND SHE DOES WHAT SHE WANTS.Β Β Also she wanted to run away.Β Β Antiva was nice this time of year.Β Β Β
They didnβt do anything but take take the horses for a nice long ride and get into a little trouble along the way.Β Lady Rebekkah Amell of Amaranthine, Hero of Ferelden, The Warden Commander of Ferelden apparently couldnβt do anything without finding trouble.Β Apparently this was not a unique Hawke trait and her cousin was never letting them meet, else Thedas might never recover.Β Rebekkah laughed.
When Rebekkah focuses on something, she forgets all else.Β Β She wonβt even take care of herself.Β Β She wonβt eat, she wonβt sleep.Β Β She just wants to get it done, and will even try to forgo sleep all together until she passes out from exhaustion.Β Β She believes her overall health should come second to everyone else.Β Β This happened several times during the campaign against The Blight.Β Β She would work until she exhausted herself.Β Β She was lucky the exhaustion never caught up with her on the battlefield.
Rebekkah never hated her companionsβthey were her friends.Β Β She would have set the world on fire for them.Β Β She never pushed them to be anything less than she knew they were.Β Β They are good people no matter what anybody says, you can fight her on that.
Rebekkah was forced into the campaign against the Blight.Β Β No one wants to fight it, not really.Β Β She was facing a death sentence or tranquility which really was a death sentence itself.Β Β Aeonar from all accounts is just as bad or worse than sending a mage to the Gallows.Β Β So she was thrown to the wolves, but at least the wolves let her fight back.Β Β
One fact remains, in society she is expected to be a demure mage to not hurt a single fly.Β Β In the wild, they need her savage and wild to destroy something even more savage and brutal that would unspeakable things to her.Β Β No one would choose this life.Β Β So when she found a way out, yes she grabbed it with both hands.
Rebekkah Amell would become an apostate if it meant freedom for her body.Β Β The constant sickness, the nightmares, the cravings, the everything.Β Β No one would choose this life, this campaign.Β Β Not her, not anyone.Β Β She knows why they had to, the Blight has to be fought.Β Β But now, now the Blight is over, for a time.
