u know how u cosplayed as jude lizowski? how did u get his shirt decal on ur shirt? i really wanna be him for halloween but i need to know how to put his shirt decal onto a shirt
Hey, dude!
I actually bought the shirt at Fan Expo Vancouver last April, BUT I do know how to press decals onto shirts and it’s actually quite easy!
First, you’re going to want to buy some screen printing paper/t-shirt paper, (it may also be called heat transfer paper), you can buy it at Wal-Mart, and it’s really fairly cheap! (other places you could buy it is at Staples or Future Shop). The prices range from $5 - $20, depending on what brand you get.
It’s as easy as printing the design out on the screen print paper! However, make sure you reverse the design in a program before printing it, as if you don’t, you’ll get a completely backwards design in the end once it’s transferred!
After it’s printed, you’re going to want to cut around your design (leaving about four millimetres of the white of the paper), and find yourself a flat surface. Lay your shirt down (I put a towel inside the shirt to make it easier on myself), lay the decal down in the spot you want it, and with an iron on medium-high heat, press on the back of the decal with force (I normally do little circles from edge to edge and then work my way into the middle of the decal).
This normally (for me and my old crappy iron) takes about ten minutes, depending on how big the design is. Make sure steam is turned off. Also be sure to let it cool completely before pulling the paper off!
I’m not that great at explaining things, so I’ve also included some videos below for you to watch! Hope it all works out for Halloween!
Cheers, dude!Make the good times last!
VIDEOS: ONE TWO
That sounds wonderful! I'm going to be Elsa this Halloween too~ This is our first Halloween in our new neighborhood, I don't know if the kids will go Trick or Treating here but I'll have some candy ready just in case! I'm pretty excited <3
We never get kidlets in this neighbourhood unfortunately, so not many houses give candy. So ! It’s gonna be a full day for me taking her around to all the malls around the city. The mall stores always give out candy, and that way she can show off her Elsa costume without getting cold (and covering it up with a jacket and/or cape!).
I hope you guys have a lot of fun this Halloween! I know I’m gonna be trick-or-treati’ing until I’m old and frail! <3
Oh my gosh, your daughter is the cutest little Elsa! <3
thank you, thank you ~! she’s been dying to be Elsa ever since i got my Anna wig a few months back!
if i’d had the time to get my Anna costume finished, we’d have gone trick-or-treat’ing together as Elsa and Anna, but instead, we’re going to be going as Elsa and Jack Frost ! C: <3
My daughter is gonna rock Halloween, I tell you this much.
quick kitty riley closet play. wondering if i should bring her to sherlock seattle or not. i'll be hated immensely, but it could be fun ! if i do decide to bring her, obviously i'll work on an accurate cosplay outfit for her, but for now, i'll stick with this !
to go to sherlock seattle. or not to go to sherlock seattle. it's literally a ferry ride away from me, i could go the money isn't a problem it's just like.
who would i go as.
sherlock, sebastian moran, or molly hooper. .... cause those are the only costumes i have established. or i guess if i get 221Bee finished, i can take her as well.
WHAT DO?
...... guess i could do the tenth doctor as well, seeing as i'll probably be going on my own.
jim, we know who the real star of this organization is.
sebastian moran photobomb
Jim Moriarty, Sebastian Moran, and yes … that is indeed Ron Swanson.
Jim Moriarty and Sebastian Moran
Jim Moriarty and Sebastian Moran. Quite possibly my favourite picture.
Jim Moriarty and Sebastian Moran
Jim Moriarty and Molly Hooper date night ~
Holla.
Dragon*Con Cosplay Lineup!
Not positive about the particular order yet, but these are the characters!
Tenth Doctor
Sebastian Moran (BBC Sherlock)
Molly Hooper (BBC Sherlock)
I'm stoked on life to be cosplaying these characters for the first time, and I'm even more excited to be playing in my screen accurate Ten outfit for the first time!
dudette whered you get the shirt for cosplaying as Jude????
OHHH AND DUDE cosplay as star thatll be amazing
star as in starr in 6teen the rollerblading chick please
I got it at FanExpo Vancouver last April at the Animation Nation Army merch table! Christian Potenza (Jude/Chris) and Megan Fahlenbock (Jen/Gwen) were manning the table, and they were the absolute sweetest people I've had the pleasure to meet! Funny enough, Christian went to say (as I gave him a big hug and asked for a photo) "It's like I'm on a date with Starr all over again!"
I don't know if you can order the shirts online, but your best bet (that I've found) is probably through HERE, the Animation Nation Army Facebook page. There are male options of the shirt and female options. Or as Christian described them "Jude and Judette".
I've considered cosplaying as Starr as well! Maybe I'll work on a Starr cosplay for FanExpo 2015 to bring along with my 6Teen cosplay group! One day as Judy, one day as Starr!
Cheers, dude! Make the good times last!
