Been seeing weird redundant conflicts in the queer community again lately. I get times are stressful but why must we pit two bad bitches against each other

This is probably gonna piss off a lot of exclusionists and separatists, but with my own feelings of being a trans man, I'm trans first and a man second. You can't treat me like a cis man or lump me in with them because I'm not a cis man and I don't share their common experiences. I'm not comfortable with that. I grew up a girl, now I'm a man and that affects how I am and how I view the world. I'm trans first and I'm proud of that

Sorry (not really) but if you genuinely think trans men and transmascs discussing transphobia and other the oppression they face is the same as privileged cis men complaining about feminism "ruining manhood" or whatever they talk about you're not making any valid points. People need to get rid of the weird idea that queer men being attracted to queer women is somehow predatory and "fetishizing" like when cishetallo men chase after queer women

Like as a queer man I genuinely find myself more attracted to queer women over cishetallo women because guess what? I'm queer and I find that shared experience comforting. I would have more in common with a queer person than a cishet woman. Acting like queer men and cishetallo men are exactly the same is odd and has tons of queerphobic vibes to it that people need to unpack at some point

Hey just in case it wasn't obvious by my posts that say stuff about loving bigender people or multigender people or gender fuckery. We support lesbian men and achillean women here. And mspec lesbians and mspec gays. If you don't then just don't interact with my positivity posts because they always include them whether you like that or not ✌

Not a positivity post, but I'm thinking right now about how fucked up it is that non-transfems mangled valid points transfems made about how other trans people can be transmisogynistic and instead of being supportive, they used their issues to shield their use of transphobia against every other trans person

Like, you have a trans woman make a post discussing how she'd feel alienated in largely non-transfem spaces and how a lot of those people seemed to hold transmisogynistic ideals. And then some people under the guise of being "supportive" would take that point, turn around and say "yes, this means all other trans people are actually super awful and shouldn't exist. Especially trans men. And we should hate them and be horrible to them because its justified now"

And the worst thing is these people, as said, were largely NOT transfem. They were cis, transneutral, or even self-hating transmascs who pushed these weird terfy narratives in supposedly "progressive" spaces. And because they all decided to pull that shit to be awful to trans people as a whole, using the minced words of transfems as a shield means that transfems themselves get more hatred from the people in these largely generalized groups of "other" trans people who actually are transphobic, with the double whammy of just ruining trans people's mental health with thinly veiled "justified" transphobia on top of it

I don't really trust non-transfems in a lot of these discussions because of how often this happens. It's weird people can't let transfems exist without using them in some way for either a vessel of their hatred or their own bigoted ideals because they think supporting one type of trans person is good enough to excuse the rest of their bigotry
