The feeling of two hands sneaking around my waist and the smell of very familiar vanilla scented shampoo made my lips curve into a smile.I pressed my back against his broad chest while his nose found his way to the crook of my neck.
„What are you cooking?“ Marks ,still raspy ,voice asked me. I ,as always, woke up first and started making us breakfast .
„Pancakes.“ I answered shortly. I finished the pancake mix and was about to walk towards the cupboards to take the pan, but Mark hugged me harder and whined a bit making me freeze. I laughed at his childish behavior and turned around to face him.
His eyes were half open and his hair was all over the place, but he still looked handsome as ever. I put my arms around his neck , slowly leaned in and kissed his plump lips for few seconds . A sweet smile was now plastered on his face .
„Good morning ,baby.“ I said quietly . He kissed quickly once more and wishing me a good morning back.
Standing here in the middle of apartment, that we have been living in for few months now, made me think how happy I am to have him in my life. It made me think about how lucky I am to be able to fall asleep and wake up with him next me every morning .It made me think about our first,shy kiss which happened 2 years ago.
I never knew what that restlessness I felt in my stomach ,when he smiled, meant. Those tingles that I felt from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet were so familiar to me ,but I didn’t know what they meant. Maybe I knew even then, but I could admit it to myself .Because a single wrong thought ,or a word ,could ruin out friendship.
I thought that that day would be like every other one, but it didn’t even cross my mind that that morning would change my whole life. I waited for him at the same place like every single morning.He was late but that didn’t surprise me at all. The only thing that did surprise me where the cold raindrops on my forehead. The rain was slowly ,but surely, getting stronger and when it came to that point that I was sure I would be completely drenched, he showed up.He covered both of us with his jacket and smiled ,with that beautiful smile of his ,almost making me faint.
„Sorry that I’m late.“ Mark said.
„It’s fine .You’re here now hyung, and that’s what’s important.Now let’s hurry up, I don’t want to be late…again.“ I answered laughing a bit at the end.
But he didn’t hurry up,he didn’t even move at all. That’s when I noticed how close we were. That close that I could feel his hot breath on my face.My body started shaking but not because I was cold, but because his pitch black eyes were staring right back at mine.
„Why are you looking at me like that?“ I said nervously with a small smile.
„I never noticed how much you’ve changed Donghyuck. You look more mature now and became so beautiful that your beauty is blinding me.“
In that moment it’s like I’ve lost my voice.I parted my lips to say something , but nothing came out of my mouth.We just stood there in the pouring rain ,staring at each other.He dropped his jacket and slowly put his hands on my cheeks. His stare kept going from my eyes to my lips. And finally ,after few seconds, he placed his soft lips on mine. It was like the whole world paused and we were the only two people on the planet. My arms moved to hug his waist ,so I could be closer to him.
But ,all of the sudden,he broke the kiss and looked at me with a scared expression. He then started apologizing and saying how he has ruined everything. But , I silenced him by reconnecting our lips again.I could feel him smile while he kissed back. Everything was fine with my arms around his neck and my lips on his .We probably looked like complete maniacs kissing in the middle of a street ,already late to class, as the rain was pouring.
But, from that moment I knew that rainy days would be my favorite kind of day.I knew that his voice would become my lullaby, his laugh my favorite sound in the world .And the most importantly,that his embrace would become my home.
