Yahoo answers not accepting all my answers...
Question: I joined Yahoo Answers two weeks ago. I’m a “Top Contributor” in the category of U.S. Taxes. I answered 400 questions and received 200 “Best Answer” votes. I have 20+ years experience preparing tax returns. I made no money with Yahoo Answers. Yahoo watches very closely. I put my email below my answer a few times and Yahoo deleted my answer (and I’m an expert).
I created a blog:http://www.etaxanswers.blogspot.com and I’m looking for ways to produce income. I came to your site and it gave me a lot of good ideas. They say Yahoo Answers is a good place to be. I’m not experienced in what advertising to place in the blog but I know I can make money if I keep answering questions in Yahoo Answers. Right now I post in the source area: Tax Preparer – 20+ years experience. I’m going to replace that with the blog address. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Answer: Thank you for the question, Marina!
That's an amazing track record! 200/400 is a great score! :)
Yahoo Answers heavily moderates their content and many times too much. I used Yahoo Answers for a little while, writting essays as answers and added my domain as a source saying at the end of the answer that if they have any more questions, they can contact me through my site's contact form.
While I was getting a great Best Answer ratio too, both my accounts were banned... Yahoo seems to hate self promotion; maybe it hates to give its users another action step that is outside Yahoo Answers.
Since they just remove some answers (you've already become a Top Contributor, that should be the reason) you can continue answering some questions giving your new site as a resource. This will help you gather some visitors to your site and at the same time start having comment replies and people giving you feedback.
The idea of creating a website that many people would search for is a great idea and I would suggest to get your own domain now that you are at the beginning. It's the best thing to do and you can slowly but steadily become an authority in the field.
The best thing to do is to create an email list through Aweber, create a very thorough guide that many people will want (like how to maximize your returns from taxes) and give it for free to the people that will subscribe to your newsletter. Insert the list capturing form on the widget of your website enticing visitors to add their information and download it.
Then, when you have enough mails collected, you should start either the creation of a premium product that you will sell (has to be much more advanced or complementary to the first one) by advertising it on your list, offer your services for a fee to your subscribers and/or promote other people's valuable products in the same niche, getting a cut every time you make a sale (this is called affiliate marketing).
Internet Marketing Requires two things:
Passion and knowledge for your niche (and you clearly have this)
Patience and persistence!
You're on a great track, keep it up and if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me!
