THE OLD TESTAMENT -- REVISED
And the Lord said to Noah, "In six months I'm going to make it rain until the whole earth is covered with water and all the evil people are destroyed. But I want to save a few good people and two of every living thing on the planet. I am ordering you to build Me an Ark." And in a flash of lightning, he delivered the specifications for an Ark.
"OK," said Noah, trembling in fear and fumbling with the blueprints.
"Six months and it starts to rain," thundered the Lord. "You'd better have my Ark completed, or learn how to swim for a very long time."
Six months passed, the skies began to cloud up and the rain began to fall. The Lord saw that Noah was sitting in his yard and weeping and there was no Ark. "Noah," shouted the Lord, "Where is my ark?" A lightning bolt crashed into the ground next to Noah.
"Lord, please forgive me!" begged Noah. "I did my best but there were big problems.
First, I had to get a building permit for the Ark construction project, and your plans didn't meet the code. I had to hire an engineer to redraw the plans.
Second, I got into a big fight over whether or not the Ark needed a fire sprinkler system.
Third, my neighbors objected, claiming I was violating zoning codes building the Ark in my front yard, so I had to get a variance from the City Planning Commission.
Fourth, I had a big problem getting enough wood for the Ark because there was a ban on cutting trees to save the Spotted Owl. I had to convince U.S. Fish and Wildlife that I needed the wood to save the owls, but they wouldn't let me catch any owls. So no owls.
Fifth, the carpenters formed a union and went on strike. I had to negotiate a settlement with the National Labor Relations Board before anyone would pick up a saw or hammer. Now we have 16 carpenters going on the boat and still no owls.
"Sixth, I started gathering up animals, and got sued by an animal rights group. They objected to my taking only two of each kind.
Just when I got that suit dismissed, the seventh thing that happened was that EPA notified me that I couldn't complete the Ark without filing an environmental impact statement on your proposed flood. They didn't take kindly to the idea that they had no jurisdiction over the conduct of the Supreme Being.
"Eighth, the Army Crops of Engineers wanted a map of the proposed flood plain. I sent them a globe.
"Right now I am still trying to resolve the complaint from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission over how many Croatians I'm supposed to hire, the IRS has seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to avoid paying taxes by leaving the country, and I just got a notice from the state about owing some kind of Use Tax. I really don't think I can finish Your Ark for at least another five years," wailed Noah.
The sky began to clear, the sun began to shine and a rainbow arched across the sky. Noah looked up and smiled. "You mean you are not going to destroy the earth?" Noah asked hopefully.
"No," said the Lord sadly, "The Democrats already have."
what liberals fail to understand
Bar Stool Economics
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes it would go something like this.
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing
The fifth would pay $1
The sixth would pay $3
The seventh would pay $7
The eighth would pay $12
The ninth would pay $18
The Tenth Man (the richest) would pay $59
So that is what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. “Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. “ Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. The would still drink for free. But what about the other six men- the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share”?
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink is beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings)
The Sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings)
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings)
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings)
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings)
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings)
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20, “declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10!
“Yeah, that’s true! Shouted the seventh man. “ Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yell the first four men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all
The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for the drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important . They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Why George Will is wrong
Mr. Will reminds me of my boss when he asked me to do this added work. When I pushed back on the time to do this he said it was only 15 minutes a day. I told him it was not that 15 minutes that was the problem but the thousand other 15 minutes that were killing me. As with the illegal children it is not the few thousand that are the problem it is the hundreds of thousands that will follow when they see the success of those who went before them

George Will reminds me of my boss when he gave me more work to do. When I said I did not have the time he said it would only take 15 minutes a day! I told him it was not that fifteen minutes that is the problem it is the thousand other 15 minute things that are killing me! This is what is wrong with his thought is that it is not
Tax the Rich
Liberals are always saying they want to help the middle class by taxing the Rich. This has never helped the middle class and never will. First there simply are not enough rich for the politicians to take from and second they get most of their campaign funds from the rich. So why doesn't this work? First you need to understand that the rich will be fine if you tax them at 90% or 9%. Take a look at what happens if you tax them at 90%. They will keep spending to a minimum and use legal loopholes in tax law put in by liberals to protect themselves against their own tax policies. They will not invest this in new business ( here anyway). they will move manufacturing to more friendly countries. So the money just dries up. Much like what we have now under the Obama administration.Regulation is also a tax on the middle class and the rich as these regulations So what happens if we ( God forbid) tax the rich at 9%? Do you think they would keep that money in some tax protected shelter? Hell no they wouldn't. They would be falling all over themselves trying to put that money to work to make more money! You would have to increase immigration as there simply would not be enough workers here to fill all the jobs. Minimum wage would not matter as wages would increase dramatically. Anyone who wanted to start a business would have people standing in line to loan them money to start it. Taxes on middle class would drop as government would need less money to pay all those programs for the poor as there would be less poor, less food stamps, less government assisted health care etc.
JFK
"We must face the fact that the United States is neither omnipotent nor omniscient; that we are only 6 percent of the world's population; that we cannot impose our will upon the other 94 percent of mankind; that we cannot right every wrong or reverse every adversity; and that therefore there cannot be an American solution to every world problem."
Liberal logic goes union
Liberals generally support unions blindly despite the fact that most Americans have rejected them and they are all but extinct in the private sector. So it is to no ones surprise that liberals are supporting the unionization of college football players. Like most things liberal they do not fully think this trough. You need to picture this as though it has happened and what the final product would look like. You need to list the pros and the cons.( they seem to always just list the pros) Since liberals have been spewing all what they consider the pros of this move I will address the cons.
1. Unions always base jobs on seniority so you would have the most senior person playing each position not the best player.
2. Unions base pay on seniority so you would have the most senior person getting the most money not the most needy or the best. You would get the same money if you were a bench warmer as the starter with the same seniority. Hard to motivate players under this system
3. Scholarships would be greatly reduced if not eliminated because this money would go toward the pay of the players and would likely be controlled by unions in the interest of fairness
4. Many of the minor sports would be eliminated and football pays most of the bills.
5. College sports as we know it would be destroyed. Who is going to want to pay money to go watch Joe Blow as quarterback who has been on the bench for three years and now is the starter because he is most senior person even though he sucks at that position. 6. The college system would no longer be a viable system for the NFL. They would likely incorporate a "minor League" much like MLB. This means that any of the good athletes would skip college and play in the minor league hoping to move to Majors.
7. College sports would die a slow death.
ESPN, Fox1 and every sports fan in the nation should be screaming at the top of their lungs on this stupid idea.
It is all about those nasty unintended consequences.
The Federal minimum wage is just a bailout of failed liberal policies. If the policies had worked there would be no need.
In only 15 months
Well of course, what else would you expect from Obamacore!
Abraham Lincoln
"You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

War on middle class: minimum wage
Liberal elitists and other elitist like Bill O'Reilly who rail for raising the federal minimum wage. We will address the federal part of this. $10 hr in NY is not the same as $10hr in Nebraska. So what value does this bring? As far as the states are concerned it is the same way. $10hr in Dallas is not equal to $10hr in Waco. Therefore this one size fits all is does not bring value. Now lets look at the negative parts of government interference since the elitists will not do it. Once you add up the positives and subtract the negatives you will have a huge deficit. Which might explain by the liberals are for this as they do not seem to be concerned about huge deficits! But i digress. Take fast food since this is one area where minimum wage is high. If you raise the minimum wage you increase prices at the fast food places. Who spends the most money at fast food business? If you answered the middle class you are correct. Since, under this administration, the middle class are being squeezed by Obamacare and other fees ,fines and taxes they will spend less at these businesses. So some will go out of business so those who can still afford them will likely have to drive further to find one. So where are the pro choice people here? I guess they are really pro abortion but are too ashamed to admit it! So you have successfully given the middle class less choice, higher prices, and will use more gas. In the end you have a few who will benefit and a large amount who will be adversely affected. Sounds a lot like Obamacare and other government programs!
MSM
If you are constantly getting beat up by the big bully and someone who is very powerful stands by and lets them do it and in some cases encourages the bully are they any better than the bully? This is what is happening with the media today. You have this administration using the Justice department and the IRS to go after anyone who dare question their policies. You have a Governor of a state saying that a any group of people who disagree with his party are not welcome in that state! Bully, and media stands and watches. You had one party ram the ACA through congress with not one vote from opposing party and with a majority of population against it. Bully, media not only stood and watched but attacked anyone who would confront the bully. We need to stand up to the media and demand they look out for our interests and not their political interests. We have to know the IRS and the justice department and especially the media are politically blind. They must question all that the government does so light can be shed upon it so the people can see. When the media shines their light where the government tells them to we cease to live in a free country.
Government VS Private solutions
There has been much talk about the expiration of Federal unemployment benefits. Federal benefits enable liberal cities and states to continue with the failed liberal policies pushed by Democrats. Cities like Detroit that have been controlled by Democrats since the late 50's create huge groups of unemployed. Why is this not a state issue? The Democrats want you to believe they are these caring people who want to help the less fortunate. What they are doing is insuring that they are not held responsible for the unenployment that their policies have created!.
The government solution is to build up a huge bureaucracy where a large portion of the money taken in is used to pay for the bureaucracy. Why not look for a private solution?
1. Let private insurance companies sell unemployment insurance to companies. You could require companies to purchase minimum policy of say 6 months @ minimum wage. And let employees buy better plans! this would keep companies from doing a lot of layoffs and firings as this would increase their premium costs. ( better job security).
2. Like a HSA you could allow people to put tax free money into a unemployment savings account ( USA) your employer could contribute much like what they are paying now for govt. insurance. Can't access until unemployed for 30 days, have max amount per week that can be taken out. can turn into IRA once you reach retirement age. Can be given to heirs USA's upon death.
These are just a couple ideas that would work better then what the government is doing.
