Let me know if you want to do something
JACOB:
— — Jake wasn’t trying to prove anything or make a point, he was just tired of being left out, he knew the was something going on and the fact that he had to come and see the one person who hated him. He hadn’t practised the speech. It was more spur of the moment feelings , and that was why he’d ended up with word vomit where he couldn’t control what he was saying and all is ideas seemed to rush out at once. Wasn’t the best thing in the world, when he was talking to Enoch the boy who clearly resented his presence in the house. Jake could sense the irritation and was considering just turning around and walking away. But Jake was sure that would only make things ten times worse — — Jake knew he wasn’t his grandfather, and knew he wasn’t as amazing or clever as he was. It wasn’t like he was dumped here either, he could have stayed in Florida and not have followed his last words, but then he would have felt guilt. Not that he didn’t currently feel guilty for not being able to find the answers he was told he would find here. It was complicated and an endless battle with his own mind and heart. stay or go, stay or go was constantly running through his mind. Part of him wanted to return home, to the sun, to Florida and to the family that didn’t understand him. But part of him wanted to stay here, stay in the loop with Emma and the others. Hearing her name had touched a nerve , his mind rushing with the response he should give, but was he strong enough to be able to say them to Enoch, would he find the courage to stand up for himself to the boy who seemed to be anger personified. — — Shifting under the harsh gaze he shook his head, anger rising inside. “ Emma means so much more than that, I don’t know what to do though….I’m not leading her on either, I like her , she made me feel welcome, unlike some of the others here, I didn’t mean to disrupt the peace you know that right?….all I want is to make peace with my grandfathers past…but i’m making a mess of it, I don’t want to hurt anyone…but whatever I do, staying or leaving i’m going to end up hurting someone alot. So sorry If trying you for answers was the only option, I can’t hurt Emma by asking her”
❛ Well, you’re right about one thing, ❜ the older boy muttered, seemingly disregarding the rest of his speech ( eyes glazed over boredly, he could think of a thousand and one things he’d much rather be doing, than playing agony aunt for Abe Portman’s blithering grandson ). With one final glance at the abandoned tools before him, Enoch crossed his arms over his worktable ; clearly, he was not going to be left in peace any time soon. ❛ ——You are making a spectacular mess of everything, ❜ Enoch’s smugness was palpable ; under the dead riser’s unrelenting gaze, Jacob seemed to play right into his hands.
❛ But here’s the thing, Jake. If I told you, any promise you make to Emma about staying wouldn’t be worth the paper it’s written on. You’d leave, she’d get her heart broken all over again —— and all these years of getting over Abe would stand for nothing, ❜ Granted, their daily chore of keeping Emma anchored to the ground while she returned a squirrel to its tree ( a waste of time, in Enoch’s eyes ) had stemmed from convenience, but it had taken her the best part of a decade to open up to him, if only a little —— If only to an extent that didn’t even begin to compare to the undivided attention she’d offered Jake from day one. ❛ ————And we’ll all be left to deal with the aftermath. Again. Tell me, Jake —— does that sound like it’s worth the hassle, just for you to have your ‘piece of mind ??’ ❜
--- --- --- Jacob knew his little speech hadn't gone down well with the elder boy, then again, when did anything he did go down well with him. He was practically frozen out by the other so the fact that he was actually talking to him. Be it in a very condisecdeing manner but it was a start at least, he shifted slightly on the spot, Enoch's gaze causing him to feel a slight bit uncomfortable , he knew he was making a rather spectacuar mess, he didn't exactaly need it reinforsed. He looked up and bit his lip, this was not the time to be arguing , he needed to get to the bottom of what was going on, and some petty jeaousy over Emma wasn't going to stop him. " Look Enoch, I know you don't like me, and I haven't made a promise to stay , I said I would think about it, I have a home away from here, all be it not a very good one, I have to consider my options, I'd consider Emma....and the rest of you as well". Shaking his head he tried to work out why everyone kept insisting he was just going to do what his Grandfather had, as of yet he'd found a happy place here, one where he didn't feel bullied or pushed out for the most part. "No...no it doen't but my father wants to go home and I want to stay here, but unless I know more I might be forced to leave and everything you said will happen anyway, and you'll have to deal with Emma all over again"

"Am I dead?" ((Hope you don't mind this as a starter!))
Jake shook his head “ Well your not dead in theory….but it does feel kind of weird right?” he laughed softly “ I said the same thing, wouldn’t let it worry you. I’m Jake”he held out his hand offering a warm smile. “ Don’t let the place scare you…you’ll get used to it”
{🔹🍃🔹} Her earth-brown eyes fluttered slightly at his voice, blinking to get them to stay open. It hurt, a little throb in the base of her skull as she turned to look at one who addressed her. “Jake…?” She repeated softly, furrowing her brows and placing her hands under her to push herself up. Lifting her head, Artemis met strikingly azure eyes and a mop of dark hair. Pulling the vines that had woven in between her arms, she shook her head slightly.
“ What am I doing here? What exactly are you doing here? And how did you find me? ”
The blonde was full of question, an expressionless face moving to glimpse at his welcoming hand and smile. Legs tucked up to her chest, she simply stared at his hand, uncertainty on her face as she brushed the remaining creeper vines from her form.
“ You’ve been to this…before? ”
— Jake nodded, his eyes watching as she moved making sure that one she wasn’t hurt and two, that the was nothing after them. Protecting the loop was one of his main things, making sure nothing bad got through or notifing of any of the changes. He offered a warm smile. This was exactally how he’d respeonded when he’d came through. He tried to work out how to explain this to her. “ You have a gift, that makes you uniqiue right? You wouldn’t of been able to come through to here if you hadn’t and yes , I have been here before, How did I know you we’re here? I felt the change ….I know the area well…and this here. well this is a loop. A place where people like is can feel safe and not be judged”
{ 🔹🍃🔹} Artemis could only stare up at him with a puzzled expression, pursing her lips thoughtfully as she picked leaves from her air. She hardly even remembered coming to this…loop, is what he called it. It had all been a blur, no thanks to Gaia, of course. She assumed the meddlesome spirit had departed by now, hence the subsided headache as she pressed her hand to her temple.
“ How did you-” She paused with a questionable look and moved to push herself up onto her feet, kicking off the rest of the creeper vines and blinking at him owlishly. “ I’ve heard that story often. But you don’t seem like an orderly…” She mumbled with a shake of her head, reflecting on the past several “places of help” her aunt had sent her visit. They all said the same motto of not being judged and safety, though for her it was far from that.
“ You’re saying I’m here for a reason? Besides, how can I trust you? ”
Jake knew it was a little weird when you first got here, that and the fact that well, having someone welcome you to a place you randomly appeared in was something else. He watched her carefully studying her movements, she clearly wasn't a hollow, so she was safe and able to stay, besides the fact, she was just as weirded out by this than he had been when he arrived. The problem was he wasn't the best at explaining the loop and being trusted, he knew his gangly frame and soft shyness did nothing for the whole I can be trusted thing. "How did I know you we're here?" he asked softly , his hands stuck back in his pocket now, of course, he was just watching the loop for Miss Peregrine, and he didn't always keep the best eye on it, but he'd both heard and sensed a presence. He pondered for a few moments and then spoke once more "I sensed you and I am really not the best person to ask for the logistics of this place, that shall be the bird, or Miss Peregrine, she will answer anything you might need, and would be the one to know why your here, you should trust me, if you want to survive here, IF not I can leave you to fend for yourself, but it's not safe"
“Wait, wait, watch out!”
Jake was about to walk off when he heard Allie’s voice bring his attention to where she was stood, the wasn’t any monsters around, well none that he could sense, and he was pretty sure the wasn’t any immediate danger around them. He took a breath it was to cold to be standing still. “ what exactly am I watching out for Allie?” his voice while light sounded fustrated. He was tired and cold and wanted to keep moving rather than being stood still.
“ Well not exactly secret, but away from the younger ones knowing the one’s who can fight and are willing can be told, the youngers can be kept safe away, I know they will want to try and I couldn’t bare their , or your death to be my fault, Allie, We all stand to loose too much if something happens”. He sighed softly and shook his head knowing it was a stupid idea, he just wanted to do his best to save his friends it had been a long while coming, he had felt something in the darkness for a while and was sure he wasn’t alone when out of the loop. “Go rest , be refreshed for dinner, and maybe we can take a walk tonight, I know it’s not normally allowed but the house drives me insane if I’m cooped up for too long, and I find late night walks are good for clearing heads and emotions, something I reckon we both need”
Allie gave a nod of her head, sleep was well needed. She walked back to her room, and slumped into bed as soon as her eyes shut she fell instantly into sleep. Though it was not the usual quiet sounds of breathing that were normally heard from her room, the walls begun to shake and even the paper in her room that covered the walls began to disintegrate. Yelling could be heard from her room, something was definitely wrong that much was obvious. “Miss Peregrine she’s doing it again” Enoch stated, everyone knew what that meant, and it wasn’t a good sign. The bird went straight to Allie’s room and opened the door. Cold sweat poured from her face, her skin pale. “Allie wake up” She tried to get her awake, it took a shake of her body to wake her. She sat upright suddenly with an intake of deep breath like her lungs needed the air. “Allie?” Miss Peregrine asked, worry in the birds eyes. Allie looked over to Miss Peregrine “Fire.. I saw so much destruction and chaos. Then there was nothing but darkness.” She stated in a whisper for only she could hear. Allie’s gift was quite different, it had many different elements about it and that frightened some of the children. “Jake..where’s Jake?”
Jake was in the attic in Abe’s old room, sitting on the bed that he used every so often when he stayed inside the loop trying to work out how to tell Miss Peregrine that he and Allie wanted to fight but wanted to keep the younger ones safe from the fighting. Knowing everyone wanted to help sometime’s confused him, they would consider death instead of the chance to stay safe. Hearing the yelling he got up knowing Allie might be in trouble in her dreams he tan down the stairs and into Allie’s room. He took a breath and nodded , making sure he sat where he could be seen and took Allie’s hand. “I’m here…it’s okay…..breath…..then we can talk…..You sensed something right?” It wasn’t often jake was here for an episode but he wanted to help her the best he could. Even if that meant convincing them all that he could deal with this, knowing sometime’s the fewer people around the better.
Allie looked towards Jake, “We’re doomed..all of us..” She whispered, giving a small shake of her head. Enoch poked his head around the corner, “She gone loopy again?” He sniggered, Allie frowned toward him and the door slammed right in his face. “Allie. Slamming doors in people’s faces aren’t going to help. I’ll deal with Enoch later.” Miss Peregrine stated, “For now, why don’t we get you up and ready for dinner? Food might do you some good.” Miss Peregrine gave her a reassuring smile, though Allie knew in her eyes that she was afraid.
Jake sighed softly , he knew that she would be distressed and Enoch didn’t do anything to help by calling her loopy, he did really try his luck sometime’s when the house had so many people who’s peculiarities couldn’t be controlled easily. At least he was gone for now thanks to Allie slamming the door in his face, while she may have been worried, at least Miss Peregrine was trying to act as normal as possible. Speaking softly Jake tried to help. “I’ll help Allie get ready for dinner, I am sure Enoch is causing problems with the younger children and I’d rather they not ask Allie questions over dinner, you know how she gets when she’s upset….besides it will give you time to get ready as well….and I want to try to help her a bit more….understand her dreams…” He tried his best to help out when he could and he had a bond with Allie, one that meant he could always try and sooth her even if the others didn’t see it. He shifted slightly and rested a hand on Allie’s arm his voice low and soft. “Allie it’s okay….we can work out whatever it is that happening, but you need dinner for strength first.”
Allie gave a nod of her head as did Miss Peregrine “Alright, dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes” She responded before walking out of the room, closing the door behind her. “Jake, there is nothing I can do. Everything was so dark.. the world it felt like time had stopped, it felt unnatural.” She explained deciding to get out of bed, grabbing herself more comfortable clothing. She was lucky to have an en suite in her room, she walked into the bathroom shutting the door behind her. Getting out of her old ones and into the fresh ones, she splashed her face with cold water before walking out of the bathroom again. “What I saw, what I felt.. I don’t know it just .. it’s something evil that I know, really evil.”
Jake nodded as a confirmation to Miss Peregrine that they would be down in time for dinner, his attention moving back to Allie once it was just them in the room, sighing, he knew something was coming in the dark and he was scared but he couldn't exactly say that right now, he was going to have to fake being okay with this and being brave. His voice soft. "It's okay we can work this out together, I know something's coming in the dark, I've felt it approaching, I can feel it in the shadows, I just want us safe.....I have a need to protect the younger ones, I promised my grandfather I would find this place and protect them". He turned away watching out the window, allowing her time in the bathroom, his attention on the trees and horizon, worried something was out their, coming to get them. His eyes darkened as he turned back to her nodding. "I know what you mean, it's unnerving and scary and I want so bad to work out what it is, Evil feeds of our fear, though....we have to stay strong, Trust Miss Peregrine will allow us elder ones to fight at her side if needed"
“Wait, wait, watch out!”

@deadrisers
Jake wasn’t really sure why he was being drawn back to the loop time and time again, sure he wanted answers but answers no one was willing to give to him. Everyone said that is wasn’t their place to tell him. That it was Miss Peregrine’s and she seemed even less willing to divulge onto Jake whatever secret his Grandfather had been hiding so long. He was starting to tire of asking questions and getting the same responses. But maybe the was someone who was more willing to tell. Simply because it was clear the boy didn’t want him there, and if he could find out what it was that was being hidden, well he’d be gone, and everyone could return to their life as normal. And the house, the Children and Miss Peregrine would live on as they did before he arrived and years after he left. It was still a little weird to him, they lived the same day over and over, and knew everyone it town’s moves or actions. But he’d came around to the idea, it might because he knew of the rest of the world he found it odd. But they knew nothing of the future, and what they did know was clearly carefully chosen so to not make them want to leave the loop. He found his way through the house, the younger ones stopping to give him a hug or asking him to play for now he told them to wait, he needed to speak to Enoch and if anyone asked where he was, then to tell them the truth, he was trying to understand the tension between them, and maybe just maybe make it a little easier for everyone around. He then paused at Enoch’s room watching him for a few moment’s working on his creations. All the Peculiarities amazed him, but it was always Enoch’s that managed to fascinate, yet scare him at the same time. Once he was sure the others were far enough away to not hear them, he spoke, His voice a little unsteady , ready for Enoch to shut him down completely and make him leave again. “Look I know we aren’t on the best of terms …but You don’t want me here. Clearly would be happier without me here, and you obviously know what Miss Peregrine is hiding from me…If you told me , I could leave. Go back home to Flordia, and you could pretend I never existed, you could stop being tense and everyone here would be so much better off….I know I’m not like you, and I know you don’t like me….but at least help me so I can not hope endlessly that someday before I leave I’ll have answers because I doubt anyone else here will tell me”
❛ ——That was some speech, ❜ Enoch raised his voice after a pause. He dropped his hands as the intruder had the audacity to open his mouth ; letting the tools clasped between his fingers clatter to the tabletop. The irritation in his body language at being disrupted was obvious. ❛ How long did you practice THAT in front of the mirror? And by the way, the door was closed for a reason. ❜ The boy plucked out the now useless heart he’d left in the homunculus’ body a few moments’ too long, and tossed it to one side.
He’d made no secret of his dislike towards Abe’s grandson ; the would-be prodigal son hadn’t come crawling back, after all - oh no - he’d all but dumped his clueless American grandson at his doorstep, instead - repetitive stuttering, and all. Joy. Frankly, the only reason he had yet to dismiss him was sheer curiosity ; something was clearly eating away at the other boy, and his ‘time-wasting word vomit’ ( as Enoch considered it to be ), only solidified his suspicions. Though he knew that any explanation would do the complete opposite that Jake seemed to think it would, he’d be damned if he didn’t make the most of the situation. He didn’t bother to suppress a witheringly imperious smirk, ❛ But what makes you think I would tell you, even if I could? I’m bound by my housemates’ word —— But if you’re planning on leaving so soon, you should probably stop leading Emma on. She’s mopey enough as it is. Do you really think I’d want to help someone who walks in here, disrupts our ‘peaceful’ way of life and leaves as soon as we’ve served our purpose? Are we —— Is Emma, even —— that expendable to you, Jake? ❜ Continuing to stare him down, a bloodied scalpel again clutched in one hand, Enoch waited for a response ; sure as he was that he’d struck a nerve.

" Emma means so much more than that, I don't know what to do though....I'm not leading her on either, I like her , she made me feel welcome, unlike some of the others here, I didn't mean to disrupt the peace you know that right?....all I want is to make peace with my grandfathers past...but i'm making a mess of it, I don't want to hurt anyone...but whatever I do, staying or leaving i'm going to end up hurting someone alot. So sorry If trying you for answers was the only option, I can't hurt Emma by asking her"
“Wait, wait, watch out!”
" Well not exactly secret, but away from the younger ones knowing the one's who can fight and are willing can be told, the youngers can be kept safe away, I know they will want to try and I couldn't bare their , or your death to be my fault, Allie, We all stand to loose too much if something happens". He sighed softly and shook his head knowing it was a stupid idea, he just wanted to do his best to save his friends it had been a long while coming, he had felt something in the darkness for a while and was sure he wasn't alone when out of the loop. "Go rest , be refreshed for dinner, and maybe we can take a walk tonight, I know it's not normally allowed but the house drives me insane if I'm cooped up for too long, and I find late night walks are good for clearing heads and emotions, something I reckon we both need"
"Am I dead?" ((Hope you don't mind this as a starter!))
Jake shook his head “ Well your not dead in theory....but it does feel kind of weird right?” he laughed softly “ I said the same thing, wouldn’t let it worry you. I’m Jake”he held out his hand offering a warm smile. “ Don’t let the place scare you...you’ll get used to it”
“Wait, wait, watch out!”
Allie could feel a heavy energy near them, she looked to Jake she knew that he was frustrated and cold, so was she but something was about to head their way. She looked towards the sky and the trees that engulfed them. She heard a falling sound, a tree was headed their way, lifted off from it’s roots and hurtling towards Jake. Allie quickly ran toward him, focusing on the energy to stop it in mid-air. Concentrating the best she could, she always found it hard to control her ability, she moved the tree out of the way before it could injure anyone. Blood trickled down her nose, unlike the other peculiar’s, Allie’s ability was more tiring and seemed to strain her. “..We should get back to the loop, before it gets dark. Something doesn’t feel right.”
Jake sighed softly he knew they we’re in trouble it didn’t mean he wanted to head into it, he wasn’t the best shot besides that he still hadn’t gotten used to being around softly, thankfull that Allie had been with him when it had happened, her precularity effectivly saving his life. He knew just how much using her gift could drain her and knew they needed to get back to the loop, the darkness was drawing in far to fast for this to be a good thing. Searching in his pocket he took out a hankie and handed it over to her, He’d been taught to carry one from a young age in case of an emergancy. “ Your right….I really don’t like the sudden pressure or darkness, the Bird will know what to do right….maybe she’ll understand what’s going on?” he started off a little ahead, making sure the coast was clear, no doubt the bird would tell them off for being out without permission and almost getting killed.
Allie looked towards Jake she gave a nod of her head, “Thank you” She responded taking the hankie, removing the blood from her nose. “Yeah she might do.. or at least she can investigate it” Allie explained, her eyes upon Jake. She walked onward, toward the loop. She walked inside, the usual voices, the usual noises appearing before they finished. “Come on” She said rather breathlessly, walking out, everything was completely different, it was light. No darkness. “Something happened didn’t it?” Enoch stated in his usual annoying voice, “We need to see Miss Peregrine, where is she?” “She’s inside.. you look like you need to rest.” He stated mockingly making Allie frown, he knew not to upset her. It was dangerous, especially when her gift decided to especially get out of hand with her emotions.
“Your welcome” Jake shrugged lightly, it was nothing compared to her just saving him from whatever was out there. “Thank you as well, I know doing that can’t have been easy for you”. The walk was slow each on high alert for anything else that didn’t look or feel right, making sure they could protect the others and get back to the loop to report what they had seen was of the up-most importance. Here it was like nothing was wrong, yet somehow, Enoch knew right away that something had happened, he was always trying to be one up on Jake , prove he was better than him, and annoying everyone with his condescending ways. Jake’s hand rested on Allie’s shoulder, whispering softly“ Allie, he’s not worth getting worked up over, we need to see Miss Peregrine, she’ll know what to do, then you must rest, recover”. He gave Enoch a look and then led her inside towards Miss Peregrines study, no doubt she already knew the two we’re heading her way with news to report, she seamed to know everything before it happened.
Allie looked toward Jake and gave a nod of her head, brushing past Enoch. She was always sensitive when it came to other people, nervous almost. She walked to Miss Peregrine’s office, knocking upon the door. Allie walked inside first, her eyes upon the other woman. “Something is coming..” Allie explained rather quickly, “Coming?” Miss Peregrine asked “I don’t know what.. but the sky, it turned dark very quickly and a tree came out of no where and nearly hit Jake .. I stopped it thankfully, but whatever it is, it might come here.”
Jake looked nervous , he knew if anyone else was in ear shot then they would end up getting blamed if anything had followed them back to the house. Where they had been very careful making sure nothing had followed them out there, His eyes focused on Miss Peregrine as she scanned over the two in front of her, knowing the younger children may be listing in. “Okay you two, rest and get ready for dinner, make sure the younger ones are safe, I’ll go check the loop, make sure nothing usual is happening then we can discuss what is happening and how many times, I have to tell you both to be careful when you go out, you know they are after you both for your peculiarities”. Jake nodded, feeling ashamed that he couldn’t of protected Allie, and the fact he’d almost got them both killed was eating him up inside. His voice broke the silence. “ Yes Miss”
Allie looked to Miss Peregrine she gave a nod of her head, rest sounded lovely. “We know..” she responded a smile on her features. Allie had to suppress a lot of her peculiarity, she didn’t want to but she knew if she just let go others could get hurt. She walked out of the study, making sure the younger ones were safe, of course she just said it was routine, she didn’t want to frighten them. “I’m going to head to bed until dinner, I’m quite tired.” Allie commented to Jake, giving him a reassuring smile. “Don’t feel bad by the way, I know you do. I can protect myself, it’s others that I struggle with. Don’t worry about it.” She stated quietly to make sure no one else was listening in.
Jake offered a small smile then headed out to knowing that no doubt they would be chided for their actions later, once the was no small ears to hear. But at least they had warned of the imposing danger. Making sure the younger ones was one of his main priorities even if he was still classed as young,he suddenly felt very grown up in this world. Jake shook his head, shrugging slightly"You know I can't help how I feel Allie, I feel like this every time I can't protect people, and you did a pretty good job of protecting me, I know it can't be easy, to do that, and I'm grateful...If you need me, I'll be keeping the others distracted in the garden" he offered a warm smile and looked around. "I think we need to work together, our peculiarities could really help win against the monsters if the is any.....but I don't want the Bird to know we're planning this. Or she'll say we're going to get killed. But what choice do we have if something is after us?"
@deadrisers
Jake wasn't really sure why he was being drawn back to the loop time and time again, sure he wanted answers but answers no one was willing to give to him. Everyone said that is wasn't their place to tell him. That it was Miss Peregrine's and she seemed even less willing to divulge onto Jake whatever secret his Grandfather had been hiding so long. He was starting to tire of asking questions and getting the same responses. But maybe the was someone who was more willing to tell. Simply because it was clear the boy didn't want him there, and if he could find out what it was that was being hidden, well he'd be gone, and everyone could return to their life as normal. And the house, the Children and Miss Peregrine would live on as they did before he arrived and years after he left. It was still a little weird to him, they lived the same day over and over, and knew everyone it town's moves or actions. But he'd came around to the idea, it might because he knew of the rest of the world he found it odd. He then paused at Enoch's room watching him for a few moment's working on his creations. All the Peculiarities amazed him, but it was always Enoch's that managed to fascinate, yet scare him at the same time. Once he was sure the others were far enough away to not hear them, he spoke, His voice a little unsteady , ready for Enoch to shut him down completely and make him leave again. "Look I know we aren't on the best of terms ...but You don't want me here. Clearly would be happier without me here, and you obviously know what Miss Peregrine is hiding from me...If you told me , I could leave. Go back home to Flordia, and you could pretend I never existed, you could stop being tense and everyone here would be so much better off....I know I'm not like you, and I know you don't like me....but at least help me so I can not hope endlessly that someday before I leave I'll have answers because I doubt anyone else here will tell me"
“ to fight is the only honorable thing. ”
“it might be honorable but what if fighting gets us injured or killed how am I meant to be able to protect you and keep you safe if I die in the process?” Jake’s voice was broken slightly, this was the same conversation he’d had at least three times , He wanted to fight to protect the house, protect the peculiar’s but on the other hand, he wanted to run away, and forget he was like them, Mostly because he was afraid of what fighting would do. He wasn’t his grandpa and didn’t have his skills, so how he was meant to fight monsters only he could see was beyond him.
He almost wanted to snap at Jacob. To call him a coward. Instead he just sent him a scowl. “Fine. Go stand back and let us do all the bloody hard work and potentially DIE.” His tone was BITTER as he forced himself not to loose his temper. The younger peculiar’s might not be able to fight properly, due to their physical age, but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t admire them for trying to fight back against the Hollow’s.
"I didn't say I wasn't going to fight, just I don't see how much help I am going to be when as you've said before I am a rubbish shot with my weapon" His own voice raised as the anger started to build, he could't fight, not like he wanted to, he still didn't understand the things he saw let alone being able to help kill one. " They'll come after us all anyway, keep the younger one's moving, I am the only one who'll see them, shadows can be deceptive. So I am not promising anything, but to prove myself to you and them, that I am not like Abe but I will give it my best shot to do so, the hollows will not get passed us, you don't have to be so rude, I know you think i'm pathetic Enoch I can sense it in your tone, But don't let the others know or they wont trust is to work together as a team and to defeat the monsters I fear we will all have to face death head on and be a team even if you go back to hating me if we survive we don't show we hate each other during it."
