It's been ten years. The Traum:A Project was originally shot in my parents' house ten years ago as part of a college Photoshop assignment and throughout the years I've often thought of creating more images for the project. The collection of images convey my feelings of South African society, specifically Afrikaans pop culture from my childhood, religion and the NG Kerk, and politics. The project was initially created as a middle finger to all the above. Throughout the entire project, I used music as my inspiration, particularly a band called @diaryofdreams_official. Their thought process seemed to align with what I had in mind at the time and I drew inspiration from that.
