I started the walking dead recently and Daryl Dixon has caught my attention. I noticed he slips away into the woods at any chance he gets and I believe he pretends the world isn’t overrun by zombies while he’s out there.

He grew up hunting. My theory is he pretends it’s a regular hunting trip for his family until a zombie stumbles across his path a brings him back to reality.
