The adorable chaos babies- I love them dearly

I was missing Psitca, so I've doodled a cute little crossover of him and Knai. Both of them deserve more chin scratch moments, anyway.

Walking back through the neglected streets of his dockside home, superstitious young Sét sometimes catches a rare glimpse of his most reclusive neighbours. Nobody believes him, of course, but privately he finds it encouraging to know that the spirits of the old world are still all around, if you know where to look. Perhaps sighting one is a good omen.

Whenever I play the sims or any space customising game, my favourite bit is *cluttering*~ I don't normally try drawing detailed backgrounds, but adding graffiti, litter, propeganda and life to the back end of a fictional city street has genuinely been so fun. I'm really proud of this!

Early timelapse again! I locked in for 9 and a half hours and created my favourite setting piece ever-

Karich's card is one of the two jokers; the wild card, the misfit. Either the most powerful card in the game, able to become any suit its holder wants, or discarded and forgotten about in the box.

Karich's lives as a Shadow and as a person are very different, with different priorities, and different plagues.

As the Shadow, wholly focused on its master, beholden to the snake even as it's poised to bite, and ignoring any potential for change out of its sense of duty.

As the person, turning his focus to the new light he never expected would enter his life, seeking to protect it from the bite of the past he feels he can never truly escape, and in doing so, turning away from that very past.

During the christmas break, I made quite an unreasonable amount of art of these two. The last I'll show off is the playing cards I designed for them. First up, Eskandar, the King of Hearts.

May I formally introduce King Eskandar the Conqueror, a mighty and immortal warrior-king bent on the near endless expansion of his empire, depicted here in a royal portrait with his beloved pets; Rossa, his ancient, eternal serpent, and Karich, his loyal Shadow and beloved weapon.

Whenever Eskandar would invade another kingdom, he'd spend a year or so living within its capital, taking over as its ruler directly to oversee its integration into his empire. He'd often wear the royal garb of the civilisation and even have portraits or statues made as was doen with all their previous rulers. All the depictions of previous rulers of this civilisation had their prized beasts - tamed, trained or slain - shown with them, so of course he decided to join in. After all, his pets are one of his greatest passion in life.

Knai's mother would sing to them often growing up, and they've carried her songs with them throughout their life, using them to keep themself company during the long, cold winter months when they're far from home.

Grief - A loyal shadow mourns the loss of its king centuries after his death.

Karich and Eskandar were both meant to be immortal, the concept of outliving its king wasn't something the shadow was ever prepaired for. Even now as it tries to avenge him centuries later and adjust to a new form of life, his loss overshadows its waking mind and restless dreams.

It was never supposed to end like this.

I figured I might as well start this year by actually posting some of the self indulgent art I do that I actually like!

And to bring to a close the series of artwork about the Calamity playthrough; the portrait of the happy family at the docks.

It's certainly been an adjustment for Lex to adjust to being a parent, especially while he was also battling for the fate of the world- but despite the bumps in the way he loves his daughters, and they love him.

Aaaand- there's also some memes lol. I officially suck at no-death runs of bosses.. especially with Calamitas (Though I did manage not to die in our final run of her in the boss rush :D), so my friend set the challenge that she got to determine one more item for Lex to wear per death, culminating in a fox maid.

My building outfit had moth wings and cat ears, which was adorable. Until, that is, we used honey blocks in a build and I kept accidentally running into over and over and over.. so yes, Lex did get stuck on honey traps like a moth lol

I really have done a lot of these, haven't I? Well, this is the last full doodle sheet, there's some meme drawings and a rendered piece left, then we're done with this playthrough.

After fighting Calamitas, and excited to have met another spell caster, Lex vouched for the witch and let her stay with him and his daughters while he and Alphox built her somewhere to live in the village. Though he admittedly has had some second thoughts after every spell she teaches him tries to eat him alive. They're still friends.. of a sort.. but she's not allowed too near his kids, because her magic is proven to be quite carnivorous.

The spell tome Lex uses most frequently is Eternity, which is a very powerful and useful hex book, which comes with the benefit of the pages appearing blank under most circumstances, which makes it fairly safe to put down on a counter for short times without fear of his daughters casting anything dangerous by accident. Unfortunately for him, the side effect of that is that they see a blank book that their dad uses a lot and decided to liven it up for him. How cute-
