Hera: I've protected Pasithea. Hypnos: You fucked up a perfectly good goddess is what you did. Look at her. She's got anxiety.
@eternalstarlightsâ
[From Pasithea]
Pasithea understood her only daughter was busy with her duties and other tasks....or more likely mischief. That didnât stop the goddess from preparing gifts of oddities and sweets for Phantasosâ birthday. Pasithea wrote a note to keep with the presents, in case her daughter came by when she already left to Mount Olympus.
[From Thea]
Thea slowly remembered things from Pasitheaâs life. The easiest memories where ones that obiviously held great importance to the former goddess. Such as the birthdays of her children. Thea could remember the day but not what Phantasos might like as a gift.Â
Finally, after some help from Oneiros and Morpheus, she had a small gift ready. Something simple, dried flowers from a river that the gods assured her that Phantasos would appreciate from her.Â
Regulus has been trying this new thing where he placed a small bag of candy on top of doorways. When people open the door, candy will fall on them and that was his trick or treat for them. So he watched carefully and then when the door opened to reveal Thea, Regulus shouted, âHappy Halloween! The candy is all yours!â Candies have fallen on her.
Thea jumped more than cried out, startled by the unexpected weight that dropped onto her head. She managed to catch the bag in time before it hit the ground, hearing Regulus' voice nearby.
Thea laughed. "Thank you, Regulus! If you have time, I made more spice cider."

Smol life update:
So after nearly 3 years of constant risk and exposure, I ended up with covid a couple days ago. So Iâm on leave from work for a few days. I wish it was more welcoming but not the case.Â
Iâll try to get to replies when I can during this time off. And then, weâll see when Iâm back at work.
@arcgeminga
Defteros: (to everyone who is gathered around a coffee maker) So⊠who broke it? (Nobody says a word) Iâm not mad. I just want to know. Regulus: I did. I broke- Defteros: No, no you didnât. Dohko? Dohko: Donât look at me. Look at Degel. Degel: What? I didnât break it. Dohko: Huh. Thatâs weird. Howâd you even know it was broken? Degel: Because itâs sitting right in front of us and itâs broken. Dohko: [leans in on him] Suspicious.
Aldebaran: If it matters - probably not - but Asmita was the last one to use it. Asmita: Liar! I donât even drink that crap! Aldebaran: Oh, really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier? Asmita: I use the wooden stirrers to stir and mix my tea; everyone knows that, Aldebaran!
Regulus: Ok, ok! Letâs not fight! I broke it, let me pay for it, Defteros!
Defteros: No! Who broke it??! Dohko: (looks at Sisyphus, then at Defteros) Defteros⊠Sisyphus has been awfully quiet. Sisyphus: REALLY?? Dohko: Yeah! Really. Sisyphus: Oh, my God! (everyone starts arguing at one another)
Defteros: [away from everyone] I broke it. It burned my hand, so I punched it. I predict ten minutes from now theyâll be at each otherâs throats with war paint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. (turns to look at the gold saints as they continue to argue, then looks back)Â Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.
XXX
Hypnos: (to everyone who is gathered around a tea maker) So⊠who broke it? (Nobody says a word) Iâm not mad. I just want to know. Pasithea: I did. I broke- Hypnos: No, no you didnât. Phobetor? Phobetor: Donât look at me. Look at Oneiros. Oneiros: What? I didnât break it. Phobetor: Huh. Thatâs weird. Howâd you even know it was broken? Oneiros: Because itâs sitting right in front of us and itâs broken. Phobetor: [leans in on him] Suspicious.
Icelus: If it matters - probably not - but Phantasos was the last one to use it. Phantasos: Liar! I would never dare use fatherâs tea maker to make my tea! Icelus: Oh, really? Then what were you doing by the tea cart earlier? Phantasos: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles; everyone knows that, Icelus!
Pasithea: Ok, ok! Letâs not fight! I broke it, let me pay for it, Hypnos!
Hypnos: No! Who broke it??! Phobetor: (looks at Morpheus, then at Hypnos) Father⊠Morpheus has been awfully quiet. Morpheus: REALLY?? Phobetor: Yeah! Really. Morpheus: Oh, my God! (everyone starts arguing at one another)
Hypnos: [away from everyone] I broke it. It burned my hand, so I punched it. I predict ten minutes from now theyâll be at each otherâs throats with war paint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. (turns to look at his family as they continue to argue, then looks back) Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.
Meanwhile, Thanatos and Ker watches as chaos unfold and continues to drink their tea. They were glad that they were not part of this mess.
@imaginaerum
[So I've been reflecting a lot about Thea's backstory. I'm likely going to gut the wip version I've been doing that was meant to flesh out the original version. đ originally her Era was meant to be more dystopian with a Pope who managed to keep control of sanctuary away from Athena which lead to their downfall.
Elements will remain, like Tenma raising Thea away from Sanctuary but the reasoning will be different than the original.]
Another fate
[Starter for @goldenlightofhope]
In a blink, energy flooded the ruins of Sanctuary like a tidal wave and the world vanished. Thea felt Oveliaâs limp form disappear from her arms. She reached out, clawing at the darkness in attempt to find her mother, while she felt herself falling.
Thea landed hard upon marble floor. Pain exploded throughout her body. A scream died in her throat as she struggled to breath in air.
Oddly, it reminded her when she had first been placed under Oveliaâs care after she was brought to Sanctuary. Thea had been training on tall poles, attempting to improve her balance when she had fallen. She could almost hear Oveliaâs words of comfort before her teacherâŠmotherâŠdemanded she get back up before fear took root.
Ovelia wasnât here now and Thea was afraid.
Thea slowly tested her body, flexing muscles before lifting limps, and moved into a sitting position. She took in her new surroundings. It appeared that she was still in Sanctuary but not the ruins of it. Smoke no longer darkened the sky and the suffocating cosmos of specters and enemy gods were gone.
Then, from the corner of her eye, Thea noticed someone move nearby. She got to her feet, almost collapsing, and moved into a defensive stance. The colors of purple and white caught her attention.
âS-sophronia?â Thea whispered, almost certain the person in front of her was one of her hallucinations if her surrounds werenât. Â
[Love how my cat immediately wants cuddles and full attention when Iâm writing or working on a program.]
A test starter for Ember and Thea from here / @imaginaerumâ
âCan you look after my mother, Thea for me? There is something I need to attend to. And please keep this a secret from everyone for now.â
Ember remembered Phantasosâ words before she left. Look after a saint who was apparently the reincarnation of Phantasosâ mother⊠Phantasos said she was planning to tell her family about Thea but for now, this was to be kept a secret. If anyone ever found out about this, she would be in big trouble but Phantasos promised that she will take all the blame.
âYour daughter isnât here so I will be keeping you company.â
This felt weirdâŠThe saint was a human, an enemy but she was also a reincarnation of a goddess even if she had no memory of her previous life. Ember did not know how she should treat Thea and she was not known for her politeness or manners.
âDo you drink?â
Ember lifted up a bottle of red wine for her to see.
âNo, but I could honestly use a drink.â Thea admitted. She knew the taste of wine but rarely had reason to indulge outside of celebrations. âI-if you donât mind.â
Thea felt calmer than earlier. Or maybe she was finally numb? Â The saint felt too exhausted to know the difference. But she remembered that Ovelia used to drink wine to unwind after a long day.
âYour name is Ember, right? Phantasos didnât say much before bringing me here.â
Thea knew that the goddess was distracted by other matters, like telling her family that Pasithea was alive but reincarnated into a saint of Athena. She decided Emberâs intimidating aura was far better than being present for the godsâ reactions. Â Â
[Hi. Itâs been far too long, but Iâm going to be working on replies and get them out over the next couple of days unless I finish them tonight. Tumblr isnât showing notifications very well, so thatâs part of the delay.]
[Please let me know if Iâm missing a thread for this blog.]
starlightofdreamâ:
âI seeâŠâ
Her father spoke well of Athena despite everything that happened. Regulus agreed, there had to be more to the story mostly because he refused to believe that Athena was cruel.
âI think there is more to the story too especially if your father is still so loyal to Athena.â
Regulus listened to her story about how her father tried his best to find a good family to adopt her but couldnât because of her hallucinations. She had her hallucinations that early? And it seemed that her father knew of the side effects but didnât know how to help her. It was unfortunate that her father became sick⊠like his father too. Â
âIf your father believed in Athena, I also believe he would be proud of you for becoming a saint to help Athena.â
Even if it was as Thea said, they failed and the world was lost.
âI donât know how Athena and the saints lost in your worldâŠâ And there was nothing he could say to help her feel better or to bring back the lost world. âBut the fact that you chose to become Athenaâs saint despite all of the difficulties and harsh treatment you dealt with, that is really amazing of you.â
He paused. If Thea was experiencing hallucinations when she was so young and even when she was training and became a saint, then what about her teacher? Surely, her teacher must know and tried to help her, right?
âWas Ovelia a good teacher to you?â
âA better teacher than mother.â Thea admitted without thinking. She cleared her throat. âI was placed in Oveliaâs care after I was brought to Sanctuary. For years, I only knew her as my teacherâŠsomeone who seemed determined on completing the training that Father started. She didnât reveal our relation until Sanctuaryâs final days. I think she felt a lot of guilt about Father having to leave Sanctuary and no going to find us after she returned from her mission.â
Again, Thea wished Ovelia had been more open before the war. Or that they had more time, so she could ask questions and know her mother instead of the warrior.
âOvelia could be stubborn and distant, but she was a good teacher. Unlike a lot of the other trainers, she had patience and always sought the best methods to enhance my skillset instead of trying to force me to learn a style that wasnât compatible with my cosmos.â
âWhat about you, Regulus? Why did you choose to become a saint?â Thea inquired. Spending more time with the gold saint did make her curious about his motivations.
starlightofdreamâ:
Why did she seem so afraid when she told her that she was Hypnosâ wife?
âOf course, he would believe it! If I was able to recognize that you were my motherâs reincarnation, wouldnât father recognize you too? He loved you so much. When you died, father mourned for you so much. He even hated me for not being able to save you in timeâŠâ
When she mentioned that the Pope will be sending Ovelia to bring her back, she quickly grabbed her. She didnât know who Ovelia was but she was not letting this Ovelia take her mother away.
âLetâs go somewhere safe where Ovelia or the saints canât find you. We can talk more after.â
Phantasos teleported herself and Thea away from this place and to somewhere completely unknown. It was a place that she was sure the saints, specters or her own family would think to look. Her mother needed time. If she were to show Thea to her family, that would be too much for her at the moment.
Thea barely had time to comprehend the information that Phantasos had revealed before her surroundings changed with a suddenness that gave her momentary vertigo. She took several deep breaths to calm herself until the sensation passed.
She glanced at Phantasos with a frown. âW-what did you mean that Hypnos hated you for not being able to save me in time?â
A realization came to her. âIt was you! That voice I hear from my hallucinations. The one begging me toâŠâ
Thea felt sick. Part of her always understood her hallucinations were more than twisted visions. Her mind, however, struggled to keep up upon the realization that the voice and the corpses must have been memories of Pasitheaâs death.
starlightofdreamâ:
Her mother promised which was good, however, she was still worried about her father finding out through some other way.
âYes, I can stand.â
Even if she was greatly weakened, she was still able to stand with some help from her mother. She did not know where this shelter was, however, wherever this shelter was, she trusted that it was safe⊠hopefully. Phantasos leaned on her mother lightly as she slowly stood up. They slowly walked to wherever her mother would want to take her.
âAlright.â
Now that her mother knew and was helping her, it made her wonder what her mother would do next.
âWhat are you planning to do now? You canât always stay with me. You will need to go back soon or else the other gods would get worried. And sooner or later, father will visit you andâŠâ
She could imagine how awkward it might be.
They had reached a seemingly empty grove flanked by many trees. Pasithea inhaled, focusing for a heartbeat as her cosmos flared in response to the barrier around the shelter. She guided her daughter through without trouble and they now stood within the courtyard of a stone house, a structure that resembled the homes mortals kept in the age of myth.
Pasithea notice how a loneliness settle upon the air. She wondered if her fellow Kharites still made visits here like they did in their youth, before Athena became the protector of men. She continued onwards with the intend to take Phantasos to her old room.
âMost believe my sorrow is keeping me within my chambers. For many days, I only responded to my mother or Aglaia and Euphrosyne after Hypnos told meâŠâ Pasithea gently bit her lower lip when her throat tightened at the reminder of that day.
She shook her head to clear her thoughts. Phantasos was correct. Pasithea was a daughter of Zeus, her absence would provoke a search if she didnât go back. Or, worse, Hera would demand Hypnos to find her.
âIâll return to Olympus before nightfall.â An idea came to her. âI will convince Mother that I wish to stay with Nyx until the war ends. I wonât speak of your presence, but I trust Nyx to withhold my real whereabouts to allâŠeven Hypnos.â
