recently decided to draw as i read, as motivation to both draw more and read more, ha! finished this sexy little number after work the other day, not sure how i’m feeling about the book but loved what i made. more book art to come as i keep going through my tbr list. can you guess what i was reading when i made this?

FR [Ocean Man] Heyy ! Je suis (enfin !!!) en vacances donc j’ai un peu le temps de poster ! Une grosse illu est en préparation (vous le savez si vous zieutez mes stories sur Insta 👀) et en attendant je voulait vous montrer ce croquis vite fait ; j’en ai profité pour tester le masking fluid : j’ai du mal l’appliquer car il a un peu arraché le papier (si vous savez comment ça s’utilise, je suis toute ouïe). Aussi la version sur téléphone est sans doute beaucoup trop saturée, celle sur ordi est plus fidèle à l’original… Pour le dessin, j’ai repris un croquis de Jotaro fait par Araki (pendant qu’il faisait Diamond is Unbreakable) ; j’ai été frappée par la simplicité et pourtant le dynamisme du dessin (la manière dont Araki réussit à capturer ses personnages en si peu de traits me fascine réellement) ! Bref j’espère que ça vous plaît ! 😌 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

EN [Ocean Man] Heyy! I’m (finally!!!) on holiday so I have some time to post! A big illustration is on its way (you probably already know it if you lurk on my IG stories 👀) and in the meanwhile I wanted to quickly show you this sketch; I tested masking fluid at the same time: I probably didn’t use it well because it ruined a bit my paper (if you know how to use it, I’m all ears). Also the visual on the phone is probably way too saturated, the visual on computer looks more like the original on paper… For the drawing, I redrew a sketch of Jotaro made by Araki (while doing Diamond is Unbreakable); I was struck by the simplicity and yet dynamism of the drawing (the way Araki manages to catch his characters with so few strokes does fascinate me)! Anyway I hope you like it! 😌
