Gruvia an unhealthy relationship??
I didnt think ill need to make a post like this but the gruvia tag is full with hate and i dont know about others but when i search my otp tag I dont want to see it hated on.This will be a bit long so before I start I want to say that it doesnt matter what you ship because were all one fandom and bashing a certain one for the sake of the other is straight out wrong.Its Mashimas-senseis manga and we should respect the choices he makes as to what goes canon or not.

1.You never turn to each other for emotional support. You look to other people first.Both Gray and Juvia turn to eachother for support and not just Juvia ,gray as well.
would you look at that Gray seeking comfort in Juvia ,not natsu not erza not lucy,but her.Gray isnt one who shows his weakness in front of others and both times when he cried for ul and ultear he tried to hide his tears but here you see him openly seeking comfort in her.Its not just her who gives comfort gray has been by her side everytime she needs him.The fight with Lyon ,it was gray who initiated contact and not just that to be able to do a unisonraid with someone you need to have a deep bond with him
another example of Gray comforting her is the ‘im here with you moment” and even Gray couldnt cheer her up.The handhold is something pretty intimate and gray has initiated it two times,Gray is not one to be intimate with someone not in that way.and if what i see here is not fanart then the Gruvia relationship has lots of comforting moments or am i mistaking?
2.Your partner implies that you are stupid, or that they are “the smart one” in the relationship; they try to dissuade you from trying something new because “you probably won’t understand it.”I have never ever seen neither of them call the other stupid and if anyone can point me out a moment where he or she call the other stupid ill be grateful but good luck finding one.

Kids avoided her made fun of her they bullied her.Unlike the rest of Fairy Tail who at some point had someone she was always alone.Want to know whats an unhealthy relationship?The one she had with Bora was unhealthy not the one with Gray.
Gray even though she is the enemy stays by her side and waits for her to wake up.all her life juvia hadnt seen a clear sky.Gray gave her care,gave her love in his own way gave her a family in Fairy Tail.Juvia on the othee hand helped Gray move on from the past that had been haunting him all this time,not completely but shes a big reason for Gray moving on.On urs aniversary when we see Gray hes drinking alone and then walks away from Juvia ,the scarf remaining on the ground but later on we see him running back to it and picking it up wrapping it around his neck then going home with a smile.
Juvia made Gray smile on this day when he usually spends it all alone drinking somewhere probably if we take lyons ‘’just let him be for a while’into consideration.If anything both Gray and Juvia are thankful to eachother.
5.You can’t identify any ways you’ve positively influenced each other. For example, you haven’t adopted any of each other’s interests or taught each other any new skills.In the six month Gray and Juvia lived together I think its safe to say theyve adopted quite a few habits from eachother.

6.You don’t think your partner would make a good parent.Papa Gray and mama Juvia to the rescue,need i say more
7.You can’t think of ways in which you and your partner make a great team.Throughout the manga mashima has given us several moments with gruvia teamwork.agagin to do a unisonraid with a person you need to trust eachother ,teamwork is definitely seen in the gruvia relationship
8.You worry that your partner might get so angry they’d hurt you.No just no.angry or not neither gray or juvia would ever harm the other,never.Gray and Juvia are people that always watch over eachother in any way or another and if one of them is in a pitch they help
and not only do they protect eachother but both have made sacrifices for the other.Juvia broke her own leg during her fight with Meredy to save Gray,Like erza said her love gave her strength,she sacrificed the chance of being with Gray ever by killing him with silver not only that she was ready to give up on loving him but he stopped her
and then Gray gave his life for Juvia.you dont just do that for someone you dont care deeply for.Gray was 18 his life ahead of him ,you only live once and he gave all that up so juvia stays safe.He didnt even need to think about it he just leaped in front of her and we could see Juvia falling into a dark place,if gray had remained dead fairy tail wouldnt be the same.
Moving on from the points of unhealthy relationship points that Gruvia clearly doesnt have id like to point out a few things that make their relationship special and unique.
Juvia doesnt know why Gray is sad but she is the only one that saw he was troubled and hurt when no one else did and brought a smile to his face.
another important gruvia moment is juvias relationship with silver.When he contacts her he asks is shes grays woman as seen here
Juvia thousgh says she is not in that kind of relationship with gray no matter how much she wants to she respects grays privacy ans is aware he is stil not ready to face her.Later on she calls him father silver doesnt correct her not once since they meet,not just that but he leaves gray in her care
Dont you think a father like silver would know whats good for his son?
When gray was on the verge of doing iced shell a magic that is forbidden and requires the users life he remembers Juvia with a smile not her fangirling.He sees her smiling at him and giving her warmth to him
If gray sees juvia as the loving person she is why cant you see her that way as well rather than an obsessive fangirl?
I apologize for my long rant it turned out way longer than expected and im truly sorry if anyone was hurt by this post.Please tag your hate or at least have vlid reasons to do so
