Panorama using DSLR?
I didn’t know that it is possible to create panorama with DSLRs until I came to know about “Photo-Merge” in Lightroom. Could have known and learned about this 2 years earlier.

Finally!! Spotted the NEOWISE
Its difficult for city people to spot the comet with naked eye. Also I can’t spot Big Dipper. So I was clueless where to look. Yesterday, with 18mm focal length, I captured a 5 sec picture. Atleast with that I was able to spot the Big Dipper. By comparing my picture with my friend’s photograph of the comet, I was able to notice a blurry white patch of light. Atleast I came to know where to look in the sky the next day.
Just in time before sunset I set my gear on the terrace with a 300mm lens and waited for the rare visitor .I set the focus area to infinite by focusing a distant object and stuck a tape to make sure the focus doesn't change. I waited past sunset and I could barely see the Big Dipper. I quickly changed my lens to 18mm to see the Big Dipper. I saw the same white patch like the previous day. I made sure the patch is aligned to the center of my screen. Without disturbing the alignment of the camera and tripod, I again changed to 300mm lens.
I captured a 5 sec picture and at last found the Neowise in the corner of the frame. A slight adjustment and Neowise went out of my frame. With some struggle I managed to align the comet to the center of my frame. I clicked as many images as possible until it was gone.
Later, I stacked 4 images to get less noise. Atleast I felt, my camera was lucky enough to freeze the 6800 year once visitor and my efforts didn't go in vain for I could treasure this photograph for years to come. I took a deep breath and bid adieu to the comet. Until next time😅
Thought I could make it to watch Neowise this morning spending the whole night without sleep. But due to lack of deadlines in this lock-down, I can’t be up. I set an alarm and took a short nap. I woke up just before 4.30 am. There was no sign of Neowise. Later after 5.15 am, with my blurry eyes I saw something with tail shining in the sky, got excited and took a picture without changing the previous settings of 30secs shutter. So I had to wait for another 30 seconds to change the settings and click another picture. This 30 secs felt like forever. Then I changed the settings and clicked the picture to realize the shining entity as “அமாவாசைக்கு தயார் ஆகும் நிலவு”
Atleast, the Moon was beautiful and showed some mercy for my sacrificed sleep.
