I'm slowly getting back into RP :3
That's too high a price. Only you have the power to pay it.
“I don’t like this…” Wanda sighs. She’s sitting next to her brother in the back of the transport vehicle.
“Just because Stark thinks he knows these people…” she trails off. Knowing she doesn’t need to finish her thought.
“Though I suppose we could run…” she fidgets with one of her bracelets.
“What do you think?”
@wanda-chaos-witch
Pietro sat leaned forward with his elbows on his knees. His mind raced only slowing down when Wanda spoke. He glanced back at his sister, "We could run but we have no place to run to." He said with a sad smile.
And it was true, they were orphans from a country that no longer existed. Sakovia had been destroyed by Ultron. He had thought that they had a home with the Avengers yet they had shipped them away as well.
They had told the twins that needed to get a proper education. They said they needed to be with others their age. As far as Pietro was concerned though the Avengers were just like everyone else in their lives. Used them for a purpose and then tossed them out when they no longer needed them.
Sitting up Pietro put an arm around Wanda and pulled her into his side. While he hated that they were being shipped out, he knew this was their only choice right now. "I say we try this place, and if worse comes worse I can find a job easy enough."

Charles chuckles. “That’s fair.”
“You certainly try. At least where I come from. Unfortunately the humans try harder.” Nina replies as she tucks into her Icecream.
Charles frowns. “What are you saying?”
“I’m saying the divisions between your line of thinking and my Papa’s is what ends mutantkind.”
Charles pales.
“I’m saying. You fail professor.” She sneers. “Because you think some of us are too dangerous. Because a house divided against itself cannot stand.” She tosses her spoon into her bowl.
“I need some air.”
She hops down off the chair and exits through the door Marcos entered through.
When she’s gone Charles turns to Erik.
“Something isn’t right here. I can feel it.” He warns.
“She’s right though.” Marcos says taking the spoonful of Icecream Lorna offered.
“I’ve seen shit like that in Mexico. It’s already starting.” He frowns.
“Okay…” Angel turns to Pietro. “So what do you think of the school so far?” He asks. It’s clearly forced small talk and it’s clear that Angel is worried about Elysiah.
The doors open and there’s a man screaming Ellie’s name.
“You don’t have to-“
“Yes I do… I did this to him…” Ellie signs and wheels out of the elevator towards the screaming.
Jean is there outside of the room the boy is being kept in.
“Are you sure you’re feeling up to this?”
“Get them the earbuds.”
Jean sighs and puts some in for herself before handing a pair to Angel and then Pietro.
“These nullify her powers. But you’ll still be able to hear her. It’s a precaution as the room is also heavily insulated. And her power doesn’t work through tech.” Jean points to the speaker on the wall.
As she says this she turns a dial and the screaming quiets down.
There’s some one way glass and inside the room the boy is strapped down to a hospital bed. Pulling with all his might.
“He’s getting worse.” Ellie signs. “The scans?”
“We’re doing all we can.” Jean replies gently.
“I know…” Ellie replies.
Angel puts a hand on her shoulder.
Wanda sighs. “We should at least chop their hands off or something… but they would probably build robotic limbs… I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree here… I should go find… my siblings I suppose…” as she says this she spots Nina storming out of the house.
Erik turns when Nina snaps and he looks down at Charles. He had always secretly wanted to be wrong about his line of thinking of humans. He never wanted to right, but he was always right when it came down to it.
"Lorna, go after her." He nodded his head to the Dorr, "Marcos go with her." He wanted the room alone with Charles.
Lorna looked from Charles to Erik she wanted to say something, but thought better of it. She took Marcos by the hand and led him out.
Once alone Erik's eyes softened as he lowered the fire. "Tell me what's going on in that head of your Charles." He could see the worry and hurt written in his friend's face.
"You know it would be a wonderful world if Uncle Charles' ideas to become true" Lorna started as they slowly walked behind Nina to give her time, "but how many failed futures do we have to see before he comes to terms that Erik is right?"
Pietro shrugged his shoulders, "All I have seen is the Cafeteria, my sister pushed Erik through a wall, so I haven't got to see much more. It's ok, though."
He shifted a bit knowing enough about social situations to know that the tension in the small space was thick. When the elevator opened he almost ran but hearing the scream made him grip the handles of Ellie's chair.
He had heard screams like that, he had heard it at the Hydra facility. His heart beat hard in his chest and ears but he pushed Ellie towards Jean. He took the ear plugs and quickly put them in.
Pietro didn't look into the room, there was no need to. He knew what men who screamed like that looked like.
Vision let go of a sigh, "very well Wanda." He looked up to see Nina leave but he also saw Clint, "I believe our time is up anyhow."
“I don’t think either of them are right. I think there needs to be a medium.” Marcos replies softly. He rubs the back of her hand with his thumb.
Charles frowns deeply.
“There’s something in her head. Like a drum beat…” he mutters. His eyes look far away.
“I’d like to speak with Jean about it. See if she sees what I do. And perhaps Wanda…” he drums his fingers against the arm of his chair.
“Do you still have your helmet old friend?”
Angel helps Ellie up and takes her to the door. The second the door slides open the man stops screaming. He stares at Ellie. Before glaring at Angel.
“Who is he?” There’s a tinge of darkness in his voice.
“Nobody…” Ellie replies heading in and closing the door leaning against the wall to make her way towards the bed.
“You’re hurt. Did they hurt you?” The boy asks.
“No- it’s fine. The people who hurt me are…”
“Dead?” He asks hopefully. “Anyone who harms you should-“
“Charon.” Ellie chides.
“Ellie~” he smiles.
“Are you okay?” She asks.
“Of course I am you’re here.” He purrs.
Ellie nods. “I’m sorry.”
“You have to go again.” He frowns.
“You need to sleep.” She replies. Brushing some hair off his face.
“No- you aren’t leaving me.” He growls.
“Charon.” She tries to pull away.
“His amygdala is lighting up.” Jean mutters.
“So drug him.” Raven replies emerging from the shadows.
“Again?” Jean frowns.
“Do you have a more permanent solution?” Raven sasses.
“Not one that would keep him alive.” Jean sighs.
Ellie cries out as his grip tightens.
“He’s hurting her. Sedate him now. Her mother is already in the way and I’d rather not explain a broken arm.”
Jean sighs and presses a button.
A gas floods the room and Charon starts to visibly panic. Ellie starts singing and he calms down as the gas puts both of them to sleep.
She’s laying across Charon’s chest asleep.
“I’ll take her back to her room.” Angel says.
“No. You have class. I’ve got it.” Raven replies.
Wanda sighs. “It’s never long enough…” with that though she gives him a quick peck on the cheek.
“I should go make sure all is well… I’ll well id say I’d text you. But neither of us has a phone… perhaps I can have my sister send a pigeon.” She teases.
Lorna shakes her head, "There can't be a middle Marcos. You give the humans an inch and they try and take a mile. We need our own land with our own laws, separated from the humans." She runs her free hand through her hair, "We have tried to live with them, but they have never and I mean never truly tried to live with us."
Erik's hands came to rest on the counter. He had hoped in his heart that this was all true, that something positive for him and his family was actually happening. He took a few breaths before he continued to cook. "Of course, it's in my room."
He looked back at Charles, "but I ask for just one meal with my family before we blow a hole in my happiness."
Pietro watched the interaction unsure of what was really happening. The only thing he did know is this was too much like what Hydra did to those who went crazy after their exposure to the Mind Stone.
He looked from Jean to Angel before his eyes went to Ellie and the man in the room. How could any of them be ok with this? How could they keep this man down here, and if he was dangerous how could they let Ellie go in there?
When Raven appeared he jumped, but what she said set something off in Pietro. At the Hydra facility they had gassed him when he first got his powers, when he couldn't control them. Afterwards, they did it just because they could. He would wake up with bruises and broken bones.
Fear overtook him, and he was gone. He dashed down the hall slamming into walls as he tried to turn too fast. Finding a stairwell he raced up the stairs and he slammed into the wall as he exited it onto the main floor.
He needed to find Wanda, but he couldn't calm down enough to stop his mind from racing, he couldn't focus. He continued to run slamming into things.
Vision chuckled a bit, "A messenger pigeon would be nice. But may take a long time to get from here to there." He pulled away from her slowly, "put I think emails will work just fine. From my understanding there are computers in the library here that you will be able to use."
“Well nobody’s ever really tried. Either we do nothing or we do too much.” Marcos argues.
Nina meanwhile vanishes into the thicket near the trees.
Charles reaches for his hand. “I’m sorry old friend. If I could I’d give you the world. But it’s not in my power. If I can’t control my own son. I certainly can’t help your children… perhaps Nina is right. Perhaps I am destined to fail…”
Clint passes Wanda and gives her a one armed hug. Before waving at the others.
“Come on sport. We gotta head home.” Clint says.
“Couldn’t find your brother so punch him in the arm for me alright?” He tells Wanda.
“Alright… I should go find him anyways… goodbye. Take care of eachother.” She waves.
“Will do.” Clint replies.
Clint leads the way to his car and starts it. And as they’re headed down the road. He arches a brow as white horse and its rider as they drive past.
He shakes his head.
“Course a place like this would have horses.” He mutters to Vision. “But when I ask Tony for one. That’s “not practical Barton.””
Wanda meanwhile opens her mind to her brother. And immediately regrets that decision as she’s hit with an anxiety attack.
She stands there a moment getting her grip. Before sending towards him a wave of calming energy.
The hell happened? She asks as she senses him nearing her and starts to head inside.
She notices a few butterflies flitting about as she opens the front door.
Back in the kitchen. Charles’ phone rings.
He answers it.
And after a pause of him listening he pales and drops the phone. It cracks.
“Erik get everyone inside… NOW!” He exclaims. Unusually rattled.
“JEAN!” Charles shouts.
Jean is already racing up the stairs and heading out the door.
Raven follows quickly with Ellie and looks concerned.
“Who?” She starts.
“Shadow King!” Charles barks back.
Raven turns to her son who is approaching.
“Kurt get the others to the bunker. Angel. Take her.” She hands Ellie over to Angel who is touched in the shoulder by Kurt who bamfs them away.
“Erik get Wanda. He’d want her power most… and she doesn’t have the training yet.” Raven orders.
“Get her your helmet.” She and Charles say together.
Back outside Nina resurfaces from the forest and is smiling widely. There’s a bird perched on her shoulder.
“He’s alright…” she looks almost blissful.
Marcos frowns. “Who is?”
“My David…”
Pietro felt the wave hit him but while it slowed him down it did not calm his mind. He was hyperventilating as he came to a stop, he tried to calm his breathing. When he saw the panic of the students running down the stairs he looked around.
Where are you?
He tried reaching out to her and he felt her but then it was like she was suddenly gone.
WANDA!
Logan had hopped the banister and landed on the first floor and he immediately started directing students as they rushed by him. When he saw Pietro he went over to him.
He tried to redirect him, "come on kid we have to get you down," was all he got out before Pietro was gone. Logan sent a mental out...
Pietro is a blur and looks like he is scared to death whoever is listening.
Pulling the food from the stove, Erik cursed under his breath. The anger that had rocked through him earlier had returned. He left out the back door as his helmet, and two others flew out of a top-story window. One he directed at Lorna, and the other two followed him as he lifted himself to get a view of the ground.
He spotted Wanda and descended on her. Before she entered the mansion he pushed the helmet on her head, before he resized it with his powers so it couldn't be knocked off. "Do everything as I say when I say Wanda."
Erik's voice was stern, leaving no room for argument. He pulled his helmet on, "how's your flying?"
Lorna felt the helmet before it reached her. She turned and caught it very confused. She didn't hesitate to pull it on though. She turned to look at Nina, "Who's David?"
Wanda glares at Erik attempting to pull the helmet off. It doesn’t work.
“Where is Pietro? Is he safe. What’s going on?” She practically snarls.
Then she blinks.
“Why is everything so quiet?!” There’s a tinge of panic in her voice.
“I can’t feel him!” Her eyes widen with panic. “Erik where is he? Is he still?” She puts her hand in her chest.
“What is this?” She points at the helmet.
“It’s okay. A bit shakey… why?” She asks.
Your sister is safe with your father. He has a protection for her against mind readers. I’m in the kitchen Pietro. Come see me I’ll explain everything.
Charles waits for the disturbance in the air.
“Not every mind reader is a good one. We’re protecting Wanda because of all of us. She has had the least training keeping the bad ones out.” He raises his hand to his temples.
“Take me outside. Your father is on the balcony with your sister. I can tell because Nina can see them.”
Nina sighs. “I already told you. He’s a friend of mine. He helped me protected me from Sentinel services. And division one.”
“But he’s more than just your friend isn’t he?” Marcos asks.
“It’s not how it seems.” Nina replies.
Clouds roll over the horizon. And more butterflies fly out of the flower field towards Nina.
Orange monarch Butterflies.
And the man riding on horseback he seems confused.
The horse stops a bit away from the group.
“Hi…” he says suspiciously.
“David…” Nina smiles.
“You know me? Did you bring me here?” David asks.
Nina walks over to him. Infuriatingly silent.
So David looks. His head tilting to the side.
The sky turns red. And David falls to the ground holding his head.
“No. No no no no no…!” The trees near them bend and shake. And then suddenly like being in the eye of a tornado. Everything stops.
David’s eyes snap to Nina. He looks at her through his eyebrows. Looking fully demented. And then his face softens.
“Hello maly ptak.” He says in an accent that’s somewhat unfamiliar.
“David!” She runs into his arms for a hug and he kisses the top of her head.
“Yeah I’m here too…” he replies in an American accent, looking her over very intensely. “You’re okay? Where did you end up?”
“Here… with my father.” Nina replies.
“Your…? Where is he?” David straightens up. Trying to fix his hair.
“On the balcony. But this is my sister.” Nina replies, taking his arm.
“Oh! Oh Hi!” He extends his hand towards Lorna. “I’m David. David Haller.”
When Pietro heard Charles he he quickly turned and ran to the kitchen. He slammed intonthe counter and looked around. He listened to Charles nodding his head as he tried to calm down.
He didn't understand why he couldn't feel her any longer but if she was with Erik he knew Wanda was safe for now.
Slowly he took hold of Charles' chair and he pushed him outside till he could see the group at the edge of the woods.
Erik gave simple and short answers. "Pietro is fine he is with Charles. That helmet will protect you from telepaths, keep it on until told."
He raised his hands and created a magnetic field around them. With a simple gesture, he lifted them off the ground and onto one of the balconies. He made sure he could see each of his children except for Pietro.
Erik felt a ping as he looked over knowing that his place right now would be protecting Wanda. But he hated that Lorna and Nina were left exposed. He cursed not giving Nina something magnetic to wear. In the back of his mind, he prayed that if he had to pull Lorna out that she would grab Nina.
When the man on the white horse appeared Erik leaned on the railing watching carefully ready to attack if needed.
Lorna was confused beyond measure because wasn't David in another universe? Didn't he send Nina here? How was he here? How exactly did jumping universes work?
When the trees started to bend she moved protectively to Nina and threw up a shield. It wasn't as strong or big as their father's but it would be enough.
When Nina moved away from her she dropped the field and watched with a watchful eye. There was a reason why Erik had given her the helmet and she had a feeling that reason was standing right in front of her.
When David held out his hand she took it and gave him a smile, "Lorna Dane, and this hunk of man" she pointed to Marcos "Is Marcos."

Lorna felt the helmet before it reached her. She turned and caught it very confused. She didn't hesitate to pull it on though. She turned to look at Nina, "Who's David?"

“I don’t like this…” Wanda sighs. She’s sitting next to her brother in the back of the transport vehicle.
“Just because Stark thinks he knows these people…” she trails off. Knowing she doesn’t need to finish her thought.

Pietro stood in the dimly lit hallway, his breath quickening as he reached the door. His heart pounded in his chest, every fiber of his being screaming for him to tear the place apart until he found Cecilia. He had tracked her here, to this decrepit facility on the outskirts of the city. Months of tireless searching, endless dead ends, and now he was finally here.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed the door open, stepping into the sterile room. The harsh fluorescent lights flickered, casting eerie shadows on the walls. His eyes darted around, finally landing on a figure huddled in the corner, restrained by heavy chains.
"Cecilia!" he called out, his voice breaking with a mixture of relief and horror. He rushed to her side, dropping to his knees as he reached out to touch her face gently. She looked so fragile, so broken. Her once vibrant eyes were dull, her skin pale and bruised.
"I'm here, Cici," Pietro whispered, his voice trembling. "I'm here, and I'm going to get you out of here. I promise."
He glanced around the room, his jaw clenched with anger. Whoever had done this to her would pay, but first, he needed to get her to safety. With a surge of determination, he began working on the chains, his hands moving with superhuman speed.
"We're going to be okay," he murmured, his voice filled with a fierce protectiveness. "I won't let anyone hurt you ever again."

“Oh that’s a cute one.” Marcos smirks at the nickname. He’s sure he’ll get beat up for agreeing with her father later.
“Ahem, Sir.”
Nina smiles apologetically at Erik. “I don’t eat meat if I can help it. Sometimes I can’t. But usually when I’m with- my friend. He gets me food.” She rambles.
Charles frowns. Looking over at Erik for a moment before speaking up.
“Well you aren’t the only vegetarian on campus. I’m sure we can find you something Nina.” He says with a soft smile.
Nina moves closer to Erik. Not acknowledging Charles.
Ellie nods. Not understanding what he said. But getting the energy from it. “All people can be like tat if they aren’t taught the truth…” she puts her hand on top of his and startles as her watch goes off.
She silenced the alarm. Her face falling. “Hey. I have to get to the lab.” She signs.
“You mean for the crimes the law knows about. How much information about the experiments were deleted Vish? Do you have any idea how many other volunteers went in with my brother and I? How many innocents died?” Wanda frowns.
Lorna raised back up from the freezer, the frozen treat in hand, "Yeah, call me that I dare you." She said waiving her hand so that the freezer door shut. "See what I do." She placed the ice cream on the counter. Another wave of her hand and she pulled a metal bowl, spoon, and ice cream scoop to her.
Erik was proud of his oldest, seemed like she was learning more control. He glanced down at Nina, "Of course Kochanie, for now, I could make you a grilled cheese and Tomato soup. Later I'll make you some Pierogi Ruskie." He hoped that other world him had made those for her.
Pietro looks at her hanf and a sad smile pulls his lips. "Ok," he stands and begins to push her inside. "So this an emergency and I should run or should I take me sweet time?" He hoped that he could take his time. He didn't want to be alone.
Vision's head tilted a bit, "Most of the men and women that were sentenced will spend the rest of their lives in those prisons Wanda. What harsher penalties within the law could there be?"
He questioned but continued without waiting for an answer. "Wanda, I understand that those who worked in the facility you were at did unimaginable and cruel things. Things that caused harm to you both physically and mentally. They are serving their time as dictated by the law for such acts."
Nina’s face lights up. “That would be nice.”
Marcos meanwhile. Has noticed the space when Nina was talking about her friend who was a he. He frowns in thought. This kid was really young right? Or maybe she had a young face.
“How old are you?” He asks Nina.
“Thirteen.” She replies.
“Okay…” he replies. Walking over closer to Nina and giving her a look that said they would talk later.
“So what’s your world like then?” He asks leaning back against the counter.
“It isn’t pretty. The humans were so intent on destroying us that they didn’t care what they did to nature for a while. Most cities are destroyed. But nature is reclaiming her rightful place. As are the animals.” Nina replies.
“I need to be in the basement in five minutes. But… you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. You seem mentally tougher than most of the men I’ve met. If you end up wanting to leave though. I won’t blame you.” Ellie signs.
“Vision. As much as I admire your faith in the judicial systems. Check your memory banks again. See how often men who kill children are let out without a life sentence.” Wanda replies.
Erik nods and starts to roll up his sleeves, "Anyone else want lunch?" He asked before adding, "Not you." He pointed at Marcos. Lifting his hand a knife flew from the knife block into it and he started to cut up garlic and onions. The kitchen came to life with Erik's power.
Lorna hummed being in Erik's presence when he used his powers in a calm manner made her own magnetic field buzz. She filled her bowl and another with ice cream before she returned the container to the freezer. She placed one of the bowls in front of Nina. giving her a wink. "Erik doesn't make anything from a can, this will hold you over."
Pietro picked up the pace a bit, "I am at your service." He said as they entered the mansion. "All you have to do is say you want me to leave and I'll buzz off. Now which one of the like 80 elevators will take us to the basement?"
"Wanda," Vision's voice was worried, "I understand your concern and the gravity of the crimes committed by those Hydra agents. It is true that the justice system, like all human constructs, is imperfect. There are indeed instances where justice is not fully served, and it is disheartening to see those who have committed heinous acts escape the full extent of their deserved punishment."
He lowered them to the ground, "However, we must remember that our principles and values are what set us apart from those we fight against. It is not about faith in the judicial system alone but faith in our ability to uphold justice without compromising our integrity."
Vision reached up and cupped Wanda's cheek, "The Hydra agents are now imprisoned, and while their punishment may not seem adequate, we must continue to strive for a system that can deliver true justice. "
Charles chokes on his own spit as Marcos bites back several off colour responses to Erik.
“Dinner.” Charles corrects Erik. “The sun has almost gone down my friend.”
“As much as I appreciate it. Laura’s kill me if I’m not home for the kids bedtime. I’ll go say goodbye to the twins and then I’ll head out. Pleasure to meet all of you.” Clint replies.
He leaves the room and Nina takes Marcos’s hand and brings him to the kitchen table. He follows, grabbing Lorna’s hand to pull her with them.
Nina takes a seat at the head of the table.
“Thank you sister…” she says softly. It’s still so strange to her that she has siblings. “That is good. I’ve eaten too much out of cans lately.”
“Any of them.” Ellie signs.
“Thank you for this…”
“Hold the elevator!” A male voice exclaims.
A boy about Pietro’s age folds his wings so he can fit into the elevator with them.
“Angel!” She beams.
“Hey gorgeous. Heard you busted up your leg again… now who’s gunna kick my ass in the danger room?” The boy asks.
“Pietro. This is Warren, my old friend. Warren this is Pietro-“
“Mags’ kid huh? Yeah you look like him. Still. Worse dads to have… mine uh- yeah he’s working on the cure… and he cut me off when these grew in so…” he hands Ellie a canteen.
She arches a brow at him.
“Tea for your throat. The professor said you used your voice today… you good?”
“Don’t wanna talk about it.” She signs.
“Who said our values are the same Vision? How many times must killers kill before people like you see the only way to ensure they don’t hurt people again is if they can’t…” Wanda answers darkly.
Erik looked out the window, "Well I guess that time slips by when you find out that you have two kids and another travels from another universe." He stirred the soup as it started to get up to a simmer.
Lorna smiled and followed them, taking a seat at the table. "Of course, sweety we take care of our own." She took a spoonful of ice cream and offered it to Marcos, "Right?"
Pietro stood at full height rolling his shoulders back when the other entered the elevator. They were the same height, except for the man's wing span. He raised an eyebrow, "That's rough buddy."
He watched the interaction between the two, wondering if there was something there. There hadn't been many opportunities for him to be around peers his own age.
"Wanda, I understand that our perspectives might differ, and I recognize the depth of your anguish." Vision let his hand drop to her shoulder. "The desire to ensure that those who commit atrocities can never harm anyone again is a powerful and, in many ways, a justifiable sentiment. However, I must question whether the means justify the ends."
"The value of life is a cornerstone of our existence, and taking a life, even that of a criminal, is a line that, once crossed, changes us fundamentally." his voice almost sounded desperate. "It sets a precedent that could lead to a path where we become judge, jury, and executioner, losing the very principles we aim to protect."
“I don’t like this…” Wanda sighs. She’s sitting next to her brother in the back of the transport vehicle.
“Just because Stark thinks he knows these people…” she trails off. Knowing she doesn’t need to finish her thought.

Charles gives him some side eye.
You’ll be alright Erik. Just let them warm up to you. Remember how you were when first you joined the team.
He reminds softly.
“Oh that is such bullshit. Like I haven’t smelled the bleach before. And helped you with toner so it didn’t look like straw.” Wanda sasses. ‘Helpfully’ signing so Ellie can for sure catch every little insult.
“Yeah bud I’ve seen the videos of you with brown hair too. So good try.” Clint smirks. Eyeballing Ellie. Clearly realizing what Wanda was doing.
Before he turns to Erik.
“If you have an email I can send you those by the way. I’ve got all sorts of stories about these two. Besides I honestly don’t know a lot about mutants and I’d like to learn more.” Clint says.
It isn’t much but it’s an olive branch.
“Both sounds nice. I haven’t been able to rest long enough to have a shower in a while.” Nina blushes.

Pietro's mouth dropped as though he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He opened and closed it for a minute looking like a fish out of water. "What!? No, I mean yes my root are brown but." He looked around as though asking for help.
Lorna took the opportunity to stand, she walked over to the speedster and pinched his cheek, "I believe you, baby brother." She said in a baby's voice. "You hair is just like mine and Papa Erik's ain't it."
Pietro swatted her hand away and Lorna gave a deep laugh. "Awe don't be like that Baby Brother," she emphasized 'Baby Brother' as she patted his head before he could pull the blanket over himself.
She turned and held out her hand, "come on Nina, Erik still makes the ice cream around here. There is a whole gallon with our names on it."
Erik smiled at his children and their interaction with each other. It was how Siblings were suppose to be. He turned his attention back the Clint. "Of course it's Magnetic dot Attraction at x institute dot org." He said it as seriously as he could.
If it was up to him he would not have an email address, but Raven had been insistent and had created one for him.
Ellie lets out a bit more air than usual. Indicative of a laugh.
Nina giggles and takes Lorna’s hand.
As they leave the room Nina asks. “How old are you?”
Clint raises an eyebrow. “You lose a bet or something? Cuz I lost a bet and now mine is ‘hot guy bullseye at gmail.com’ he sighs. My wife was really proud of that one.” He pulls out his phone and types in Erik’s email.
Lorna looked down, "My real age is 20, but the fake ID I have says I'm 22." she put a finger to her lips. "When you're old enough I'll get you one too." He led her sister to the kitchen and made to open the refrigerator when she was accosted by an avalanche of happy meals.
"Why the hell are there like 30 Happy Meals in the damn Fridge?"
Erik shook his head, "No, I refused to make one so one was made for me by Raven." He sat forward a bit, "I am the Master of Magnetism not technology."
"Wanda how about you, your brother, and" he blanked on Ellie's name.
"Ellie," Pietro was quick to answer though.
"Yes, Ellie, show your metallic friend here the Institute. Also, I am sure Ellie would like it if you retrieved her chair, Pietro. I'll catch up here with Mr. Barton."
Pietro shrugged as he offered Ellie his hand, "Of course, unless she likes to be carried around." He gave her a wink.
Erik raised an eyebrow, he might have to have 'The Talk with the boy. Cause he was almost positive it was that same kind of attitude and wink that led to him having multiple children with multiple women.
Nina catches like three before they hit the ground.
“This is a house full of children?” She suggests helpfully.
Wanda giggles, her nose crinkling as she does.
“His name is Vision.” Wanda replies tensely.
Ellie rolls her eyes. “Down boy.” She signs. Accepting his hand and his help.
Wanda frowns. Before taking Vision’s hand and leading Pietro and Ellie and the gang out into the sunlight again.
Barton watches them go.
“So I’m gunna guess you didn’t know?” He asks. Sticking his hands in his pockets.
Charles wheels closer.
“And you’re the professor I’ve been emailing right?” Clint asks Charles.
“Yes. Charles Xavier. It’s a pleasure Mr.Barton.” He reaches out and the two men shake hands.
“Clint is fine… glad to see Pietro is fitting in. Course he’d find a girlfriend on the first day. You should have seen him on our mission in Sokovia.” Clint sighs tiredly. “At least you guys seem able to keep up.”
“Wanda is alright as well. She’s of course pissed at Stark. I think she would have liked to stay with-“ Charles starts.
“With Vision? Yeah I’m getting the vibe that the feeling is mutual.” Clint chuckles.
"Even in a house full of kids, we don't ever have this many random Happy Meals," Lorna says as she puts what she caught on the counter. She waives her hands and the metal rings twist and thin out.
The metal hooked around the meal boxes that had fallen and she lifted them to the counter. "Hungry?" She asked Nina as she peeked in one of the boxes. "OH hell yeah!!" She pulled out the toy, it was a Shark Squishmallow. "I've been looking for this one." She squished the small shark to her face. "Hey look through the boxes I'm sure we can get you a whole collection".
Vision would gladly follow Wanda. He wanted to make light conversation, "the grounds are beautiful, wide and open." He says as they step outside. "I saw them when I flew over. I could show you if you like."
Pietro raced ahead of Wanda with Ellie back to where they had left the chair. He placed her down, "So be honest, what do you and Lorna do for fun around here?"
Erik shook his head, "I had no idea, If I did I would have gone for them." He smirked a bit, "Chip off the old block that boy."
He huffs when Stark is mentioned, "Yes, the man in a metal suit. While he might not be on my top list of Humans to save in an emergency, I do have to say this was a good idea." His look softened, "and not just because they are my children. Here they are normal teenagers, not numbers, not subjects, or as your the government has classified them as highly dangerous weapons of mass destruction."
Nina looks up at her in a very judgmental fashion. Her face reminiscent of her father.
“Are you on drugs?” She asks bluntly.
“That would be lovely.” Wanda replies. She watches Pietro run off.
“What do you think of Ellie?” She asks.
Ellie smirks at Pietro. “How honest do you want me to be? She is your sister after all.” She signs.
“Yes he is. Heaven help us all.” Charles mutters.
Barton snorts at Erik. “Not sure he’s on my list either. But despite his …everything. He’s trying to do right by your kids. Which is more than most in a position of power would do.” He sighs.
“I’m glad they’ve got some scary dog privilege now though. They’ve been trying to freak out bad guys on their own ever since they escaped Hydra. And they have no clue what they’re doing. It’s like they’re playing dress up.”
“It’s not the first time we’ve seen this Clint. Erik is right. This is the best place for them.” Charles assures.
“A place they can actually be kids. Though you may have to force them to relax.” Clint replies.
Lorna looked up her mouth full of fries, she swallowed before talking, "Like right now? No, I just escaped from prison. And don't believe the lies that it's easy to get drugs in prison because it's not"
She came around the counter holding an opened box and continued to nibble on the food. "Why do you need something? Cause I can get you something mellow, just don't tell Erik or he'll give me that face." She indicated to the face Nina was currently making.
Pietro knelt down a smirk playing on his lips, "Oh now you have my attention, because that sounds like you two have tons of fun."
Vision carefully lifts Wanda as he raises them up so they can get a good view of the land. "She slows him down, and I think your brother needs that." He said knowingly. "What do you think of her?"
Erik chuckled a bit, "I am sure Lorna, my oldest daughter, will show them the ropes. She'll probably be more than happy to take them out and show them how to have fun." Of course, now that he had said it out loud, he might have to talk with Lorna about what she considered fun.
“I think I’m starting to see why you were in prison.” Nina sasses.
She looks at the food and sniffs it. Before eating some fries.
She clambers up into the counter so she can see better. Positioning with her back to the wall.
“Is it legal here to give children cannabis?”
“She has more fun than I do.” Ellie replies. “I don’t get out much. But she… has a boyfriend.” She says with a little grin.
“Though more details might cost you.” She signs playfully.
“Her mind is troubled. But I don’t think she’s hurt Piet on purpose. She seems to be afraid of getting into a relationship.” Wanda replies.
“And what of Erik? What do you know about him? Do you have files or anything?” She asks. Leaning against him.
“Yeah… good luck.” Clint chuckles.
Charles goes to check on the girls as the other men talk. He frowns.
“Excuse me gentlemen.” Charles says as he rolls into the kitchen. Arching a brow at Lorna.
“I don’t even know where you would find a dealer Lorna.” Charles sighs.
Lorna raised an eyebrow, "For your information, I was in prison for a murder I did not commit. Not drugs." She unwrapped a burger, "Also you look like you've been through some shit and could use something that would help you sleep."
She turned to dig through the freezer and almost choked on her burger hearing Charles' voice. She slammed the freezer door, and she stood straight up. "Uncle Charles," she said turning, "who said anything about a dealer?"
don't think about your stash, don't think about your stash, don't think about your stash
Pietro whistled lowly, "Man, a boyfriend. Does Erik know?" He fell back on his butt to sit on the ground, "Oh you know I'll pay anything for secrets."
Vision's processors hummed as he accessed the vast repository of knowledge stored within his synthetic mind. The Mind Stone had a slight glow.
"Erik Lehnsherr, born Max Eisenhardt, emerged from the horrors of the Holocaust with a new name and a mission forged in the crucible of his suffering. A survivor of unspeakable atrocities, his early life in Poland was marked by the brutal loss of his family. These formative years under Nazi oppression shaped his worldview, instilling in him a fierce determination to prevent such horrors from ever happening again—to anyone, but especially to mutants."
"Magneto’s primary power, the control over magnetic fields, is awe-inspiring. With a mere thought, he could manipulate metal, generate electromagnetic pulses, and even achieve flight by harnessing the Earth's magnetic forces. His ability to create nearly impenetrable force fields made him a formidable adversary. Beyond his mutant abilities, your father possesses a genius-level intellect, with extensive knowledge in genetics and mutation, coupled with unparalleled strategic and tactical prowess.
"Erik's formation of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants marked the beginning of his crusade against human oppression and his vision of mutant superiority. Despite his shared goals of mutant survival with Charles Xavier, their methods and ideologies often clashed, leading to epic confrontations."
Vision blinked as he continued to talk, "The trauma of his youth cemented his belief in mutant superiority. He views extreme measures as necessary for survival, often justifying acts of terrorism and violence as essential to secure a future for his people. His leadership style was both charismatic and authoritarian, commanding fear and respect in equal measure."
Vision looked back down at Wanda, "Your father is not merely a villain; he is a complex, multi-faceted individual driven by deep-seated trauma and an unwavering desire to protect his family."
Erik stood back up pulling himself to his full height, he approached Clint, his face however, showed an expression rarely seen: remorse.
"I owe you an apology," he said his voice steady but filled with genuine regret. "My actions earlier were inexcusable. I let my anger get the best of me, and I struck out without thinking. For that, I am truly sorry."
"There is something more I need to express," Erik said, his tone softening. "I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for the kindness you and your wife have shown to Wanda and Pietro. You welcomed them, treated them with compassion when they needed it most. For that, I am eternally thankful."
"I want you to know," he continued, "that you and your wife are always welcome to visit us. Whenever you like. Our doors are open to you both. And I promise to keep you informed about Wanda and Pietro. They mean a great deal to me, as I know they do to you."
“I don’t sleep unless David helps me.” Nina replies.
“Oh please Lorna. You think I don’t have the rooms checked. Professor Logan cleared out your stash soon after you left.” Charles sighs. “What I’m more concerned about is your willingness to offer illegal substances to a child of… how old are you?”
“I’m not a child… I’m thirteen.”
Charles sighs. “In any case. We can have Hank prescribe something if needed. Otherwise. As kind as that gesture is. It’s dangerous Lorna.”
He opened his mouth to continue when there was the sound of the glass door being opened.
“Lorna!” Marcos beamed.
“Marcos!” Nina exclaims. Rushing to give the confused man a hug. He pats her head. “Hello small child.” He says awkwardly while looking at Lorna in confusion.
“Anything?~ How about a trade then. You tell me some of your secrets and I’ll answer some questions.” She signs with a flirty smile.
Wanda nods. And then pauses.
“Sorry Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? You’re joking right?” She laughs a bit.
“So he’s a cult leader… I can see that… on a scale of one to Hydra… how bad was the cult?” She asks.
Clint arches a brow at him. Before visibly relaxing.
“Apology accepted. Though if I’m bruised you may have to face my wife.” He smirks. “And buddy if you do I don’t envy your chances.”
“Yeah of course… they’re just kids. Makes me wish I had killed more of those Hydra bastards.” He admits.
“Thank you. You know they’re great kids. And Pietro especially needs a father figure. He’s going to push back against you because he’s a teenage boy. But don’t give up on him. The kid’s been used to being man of the house for so long. But I think you can handle it.”
He smiles. “I don’t know how long you’ve got the opportunity to raise your other kids. But from one dad to another. If you need any advice. I’m usually around.”
He looks after Charles. “Should we follow him or? He just went the same way your girls went and he can read minds right?”
Lorna wrinkled her nose, "Are you telling me that Logan looked through my underwear drawer because I am sure tatuś will love that." She quickly held up a hand, "Yes, he is tatuś when I want/need something and Erik the rest of the time."
"Oh, right Uncle Charles, because prescription pills are sooo much healthier than a small amount of weed," Lorna said sarcastically.
When Marcos came in Lorna smiled crossing her arms over her chest, "There something you want to tell me?" She teased as she raised an eyebrow. She walked over, placing a soft hand on the top of Nina's head. "She's my sister from another universe."
Bringing his knees to his chest Pietro rocked back a bit, "Um so when I got shot, the bullet shattered my thigh bone. While I have accelerated healing I still needed a cast." He scratched the bridge of his nose as a smile played on his lips, "I really liked the attention I was getting."
"So, when they would take me for x-rays I would shake my leg so that the bone still looked broken. I wore that cast for like three weeks longer than I needed to."
Vision tilted his head a bit, "On a scale of one to Hydra, the Brotherhood of Mutants presents a significant threat, though their motivations differ greatly from Hydra's. While Hydra seeks global domination through the subjugation of humanity, the Brotherhood's primary goal is the protection and advancement of mutants, often through militant and radical means. Their methods can be equally dangerous, but their focus is narrower, targeting those they perceive as threats to mutantkind rather than pursuing totalitarian control over the entire world."
He paused, ensuring the gravity of his words was clear. "So, while they may not reach the same level of widespread influence and insidious infiltration as Hydra, the Brotherhood's actions can still cause considerable harm, especially to those who stand in their way."
Vision looked down at Wanda, "How do you feel about your newfound father?"
Erik chuckled, "Any chance your wife will go easy on a single father of four?" he joked. He side glanced Clint, "I raised the Nina of this universe until she was 6." his voice caught in his throat. "That is when she was taken from me." He couldn't voice that she was killed.
"Lorna's mother didn't tell me about her until she was 13, it was also soon after that her mother was taken from us and she came to live here. But I soon went to prison after that for a few years so."
"So I have some amount of experience," He smiles. A sigh escapes him, "We should go check on them. Lorna might take after me in more then just powers."
“Of course not. Logan smelled it coming from your room and Ellie immediately folded under pressure.” Charles replies.
“I don’t need either…” Nina replies. Ever the peacekeeper. “You don’t know me here do you?” She asks Marcos.
“Sorry.” Marcos replies with an apologetic smile.
“No. It makes sense. Like Lorna said. I’m not from around here.”
“Right… little sister? So in another universe your mom had two daughters?” Marcos asks Lorna.
“Wrong parent.”
“What? Oh…. I’m so sorry…”
Nina giggles.
Ellie’s face lights up. “And your sister never called you out on it?”
Wanda sighs. “Angry mostly. It’s not his fault he didn’t know about us. But. If he had such power… power Pietro and I were willing to be experimented on for. And he didn’t do good with it… do you know how much metal was in the Hydra labs?” She asks.
“Or how many times I wished some superman would fly in and save us after the experiments were done?” She frowns.
“Shit man.” Clint replies. “Well teenagers are a whole nother’ rodeo. If you need some camaraderie. Or a guys day. Lemme know.”
“Yeah. Judging by how she snuck off. I’m betting she’s a chip off the old block.” He smirks.
"Yeah, apparently Erik doesn't know what a condom is cause I have two more siblings, Twins." Lorna moved around so she could lean in and kiss Marcos on the cheek.
When she got close to him, his natural light and her magnetic field swirled into an aurora borealis.
Pietro shrugged, "I don't know why she never did. I can think so fast that it's nothing but buzzing to anyone who tries to read my mind. So either she didn't know or she did and didn't care." He rocked forward as he let go of his knees so that he was sitting criss cross applesauce. "your turn."
He understood her anger but Vision had also seen firsthand the tip of the iceberg of the man's power. "You have every right to be upset Wanda but has his actions today not shown how protective he is of his family?" He gave a thoughtful hum, "I may have to talk to Tony about the security surrounding the remaining Hydra prisoners."
When he entered the kitchen and saw the couple he raised his hand his own magnet field disrupting them. He pushed Lorna from Marcos.
"Stop it Erik!"
"As the Catholics say Eclipse save room for Jesus."
“Oh. Oh?! What?” Marcos blinks. “So three? I leave for one day…” he turns and catches her lips for a quick peck.
When Erik enters the room all the lights flicker and Nina grabs a happy meal box and takes it over to Erik. Seemingly not seeing what’s going on as she hands it to him.
“Papa what are these?” She asks in Polish.
Clint fights a smirk. This kid was good. He looks over at Lorna then back at Nina.
Ellie thinks a moment. “Okay. Well Lorna can tell you her own secrets. But I’ll spill some of mine. I’ve been here. Maybe three months. I originally came from Greece. But my father is scum. And was hunting down my family because of me.”
“Sorry. Is- I have a little sister and my mother. And they’re my world. But living with them is too dangerous even though they are human… my father is a monster.” She moves to the back of her suit and unvelcros it. Pulling down the collar so he can see the scar on her throat.
“Told you everyone here has daddy issues.” She smiles a bit. But it doesn’t reach her eyes.
Wanda frowns. “There’s. Survivors?”
Lorna flipped Erik off rolling her eyes. She turned and went back to the refrigerator in search of the icecream.
Erik, "I love you too, my Gwiazda Polarna." He smiled at Nina and spoke to her in Polish, "That Kochanie is a Happy Meal from a Restaurant. Its food are you hungry?"
Bent over in the freezer Lorna's head tilted, with her the girl had been almost adult but now she was all little girl with Erik. Even though she didn't fully understand them she knew it was different. She shook it from her mind. Maybe it was nothing, after all she had lost him in her world.
Pietro's eyes narrowed, maybe Erik's mouthing off about humans wasn't too far off. He reached up and placed a soft hand on her knee. "I'm sorry you were hurt like that. Grown-ups sometimes..." he tried to think of the phrase in English, when he couldn't he spoke in Sokovian. "Teribil, rece și mortal"
Vision nodded, "Yes, a large number of them are housed in maximum security prisons around the world. Judged and sentenced as the laws dictate for their various crimes."
@wanda-chaos-witch
@wanda-chaos-witch
“And I can’t remember the last time I had Icecream… no I can. I think it was a week before Tata died… we made it at home.” She fibs a bit.

@wanda-chaos-witch
@wanda-chaos-witch
“And I can’t remember the last time I had Icecream… no I can. I think it was a week before Tata died… we made it at home.” She fibs a bit.

I don’t think Magneto deserves to be with some 10/10 hottie. He deserves to suffer, endlessly bickering with a bald, nasally, alien-looking weirdo.
