I spend a lot of time faking my confidence so people won’t think that I’m insecure or weak but I cant lie and say that loving my skin hasn’t been a very difficult and uphill battle. Constantly seeing memes and jokes specifically aimed at dark skin girls on social media, by family members, and at school has taken a toll on me. I’m here to say that dark skin girls are allowed to be sensitive, allowed to be hurt, and allowed to be insecure. We can’t be strong at all times! My feelings are valid. My skin is beautiful, I am beautiful and I’m trying my hardest to feel this way every second of every day and I will get there. 👸🏿✨ #FuckYourPaperBag
