Ways to fill a journal.

Fill it with words that inspire you, your favorite poems, the story of the day you were born, quotes from your favorite books, characters that speak to your heart.

Fill it with forgotten sheet music, lyrics that speak to your soul, melodies that play in your dreams, a deep bass line, the way you sing yourself alive.

Fill it with memorabilia- an old plane ticket, yesterday’s coffee receipt, forgotten movie stubs, tags from this morning’s cup of tea.

Fill it with leaves, the petals of a flower once tucked in your hair in spring time, a blade of grass, branch’s bark in the middle of winter.  

Fill it with sketches,designs, pen and ink swirls, paint splatters, marker lines, embroidery stitches,touches of watercolor,crayon marks ,stickers &  glitter, your favorite magic symbols.

Fill it with moments of sadness, moments of rage, ashes, the tears you stored up in your heart. Tell the story of how you survived,the story of your strength, the ways you break through.

Fill with moments of love: a memory of a kiss that made you melt, your grandmother’s recipes,the scent of bread baking in the oven, the hug that washed the world away.
