Darcy’s my older sister, actually. Yeah, Darce knew Sav from the year before and introduced us. We, Alli and I, were both in the gifted program at the time. Ah, I get that. I tried to pretend I didn’t care what anyone thought about me. That didn’t…work out too well. It is so strange! This year? I’d like it to be more drama free than the last three.

Oh! I didn’t know you had a sister who went to Degrassi. Was she there before Simpson was the principal? I always wonder what the school was like back then. Probably a lot less strict. Nice! No wonder you two get along so well. Yeah, I mean, I don’t...well, I try not to. It’s gotten a little better over the years. Ooh, wouldn’t that be nice! I hope it’s that way for all of us.

Oh, that sounds awful, you have my sympathy. But i’m probably going to be drowning in school work in a week and stress out over getting A’s. So…i’m not looking forward to that. I have the same feeling, unfortunately.

Haha, thanks! It probably shouldn’t be too hard since we haven’t learned much yet, but it’s still annoying. Yeah, by the second week, everyone’s usually flooded in work, unfortunately. I just wish we didn’t have to take all these boring unnecessary classes. I think it’s been established that we won’t use calculus in real life situations! I think you’ll be able to pull it off. Hopefully there’s a fun event or something that’ll make up for all the stress.

I had major flashbacks to my first day of Degrassi. I remember walking up in my old school’s uniform and Darcy complaining about how I looked and meeting Alli and being part of the gifted program. It feels like yesterday in some ways. I can imagine. Well, I’m sure the year will go by quickly. Do you have any big plans for this year?

Darcy? Was she an old friend of yours? Aw, you and Alli have been friends since you were niners? That’s so sweet! I remember my first day too, but it wasn’t very eventful. I did everything I could to avoid being noticed. I know what you mean, though; it does feel like it just happened. Strange, isn’t it? I hope so. Hmm, not that I can think of...guess I’ll just have to see how things go! How about you?

Wow, lucky you! I wound up with a lab assignment due by the beginning of next week, so that’s no fun...but otherwise, everything went pretty well, I guess. I just have this feeling that things are going to become very stressful very fast.

Unfortunately not. Like come on, it’s the first week! It’s practically supposed to be going over the syllabus over and over until we memorize all the important dates and stuff. Right? If only there was a class centered around that instead of boring subjects, like chemistry.

Ah right? Isn’t it strange for you remembering walking in the first day as a niner? And now you’re in grade 12! It’s an exciting feeling. I sure hope so! I do hope it passes quickly; I sort of wanted to savor my time in high school, but now I’m just ready to get out and into the real world already.
