i actually can’t believe that kisa/santanico pandemonium from the show from dusk till dawn is not immensely popular, far more than she is currently in fandom, considering just how wonderful a character she is and how incredible her storyline becomes. i mean I can believe it bc all fandoms have issues with mistreating or devaluing woc but like

this is a woman who has been a slave for centuries and her entire narrative is about her working towards regaining her freedom/agency. this is a woman who is hailed as a goddess, yet rejects that title because it makes a mere symbol out of her–she insists upon her humanity, demands it even. this is a woman who suffers for so long and finally learns to stand up to her abusers and oppressors, finally strikes back on her own terms.

her story is honestly one of the most powerful narratives of a woman empowering herself I’ve ever seen and I think she deserves so much more appreciation and love than she gets now.
