I feel your struggle! I would say pain, but I know it’s a very nice feeling to be surrounded by your kids, despite any stress, so I wouldn’t want to downplay that. However, since Grace and I started fostering, we’ve had a nonstop roller coaster of excitement, both positive and negative, so to an extent, I understand, haha.

Fostering is a struggle too. I fell in love with basically every kid who came through the house, and the decision to give it up was heartbreaking but with eight of our own now, there just isn’t space for any more. Maybe after the older kids are off to college we’ll pick it up again. It’s definitely just as rewarding as it is difficult. Having a full nest is nice.
