i have to be honest, i am struggling a lot with eating disorders, been like this for years but lately it's gotten... more frequent, easier

i don't think about it every time im hungry, i try to ignore it as much as i can until i start getting angry, and when i do eat i try to eat something low calorie, and convince myself that it's enough for the rest of the day

im bruising easily again, im always tired and constantly sleeping

i dont like my body, i am desperate to see more progress than with my diet and exercise and it's gotten easier and easier to stop eating

and frankly, there's one thing i saw that made me re-think it, i saw someone talking about the physical effects it had on their body, like heart failure, infertility, anemia, etc etc

like actual physical effects and idk i just dont think its worth it to risk your bodys health over its image... like yes youre thin but all your organs are failing?? yes i look hot but i will pass out if go up a flight of stairs

anyway it's the thing that made me eat like a person today, i hope it helps someone else, motivates anyone to maybe eat a little more even if its just for today, it's easy to think you're in control and it's hard to try to get better cause most times we don't want to get better, but maybe just try for today

if not for self-love at least for health cause that's what's making me think twice about my decisions, evem if it was just for today, but today i didnt listen to the little voices in my head and decided to get some actual food inside me

something id like to add to this, recovery is not linear which is how i find myself hungry sitting at the kitchen island yet thinking im not worthy of food

ive gained weight, which i hate, i cant even say i dont like it, i hate it

but my body has literally made a fail-safe if i dont eat i get an intense migraine that makes me throw up and sometimes lands me in the er

i wont blame it all on not eating, it started with stress, not eating and abusing coffee

but it's your reminder that not eating has consequences, even if i cant bring myself to say something more positive right now

I don't think most people think there's anything wrong with romance, but kissing can be platonic, if ppl want it to be. It's obviously not the average context for kissing on the lips (at least in a lot of cultures) but some people see it as a fun form of intimacy between friends. And I rly don't think that being into that idea means someone's AGAINST romance? I guess it depends on how the presented it maybe

honestly its the specific context of the person who drew it, it's someone who will go out of their way to attack and call out ppl who ship those two characters romantically that they say are platonic which is fair, but then drew them kissing ON THE LIPS, and captioned it as it being platonic which is kind of weird yknow

i feel like theres so much repulse and rejection for romance lately where romantic ships are looked down on and the same two characters as platonic doing the exact same things is seen as something better that we've come full circle to puritanism and slut shaming but only it's labeled as a platonic relationship being purer and stronger and more meaningful than a romantic relationship could ever be

we've started labeling romantic actions as wrong or disgusting, having to go out of your way to say kissing someones lips is platonic cause you cant fathom romance just sets us back to the idea that romance is taboo and something to be ashamed of and physicaly touch and sex is impure and filthy

there's romance in everything, and while some relationships can be entirely platonic some can't and that's okay i swear i just hate how romance is so vilified lately cause it can be something so beautiful, pure and strong
