Twas quite entertaining, to watch such a man shift his form one moment, and then yet again the next. And the woman of madness herself never once flinched or questioned it. Questioning such a thing was unwise, as well as rather redundant, as the answers given would make less sense than the ability it’s self. Most people would have become confused, tried to make some sort of sense out of the mind boggling creature before her. But Alice, already knew. She could see those terrible cracks and the abyss about him. And would willingly stare into it, whether it stared back or not.
With a slight tilt of the head, Alice maintained impossible eye contact. Able to hold it indefinitely, despite the hellfire orbs that gazed back. While the vampire that stood before her felt a sort of connection, he was not alone in that sense of kindred ship. For the two of them, so different and from such different places in their paths paved in blood, they still had so much of the same in common. This thought alone was almost comforting, in a way.
Alice could not help but feel a sense of sadness for the creature, whom had been denied his sweet vengeance. Been denied the feeling of bringing low those that had tore him down and been the cause of so much suffering. He had every right to be the one to do such himself… But, at least out of the two of them, one had achieved as such, and could share this with the other.
But ah, another question, and it had been presented out of turn. However, this was something that the female did not mind. After all, he was a complicated, yet simple creature. An oxymoron of sorts, but she could understand none the less. He wished to know that feeling, that ending to such a long game of cat and mouse.
"Yes. As twisted as it was, I did, for a brief moment, feel sweet relief, freedom. As I managed to once again lace Wonderland with Reality as the time of his death came. The look of horror upon Angus Bumby’s features was something I will never forget, as I meshed Reality with Madness… And he saw it, and knew… He had fallen too deep down the rabbits hole to survive, had dared to play chicken with a viper. And it cost him his life. Now splattered in bits upon his own steel tracks and laid to waste by his iron train. The very thing he sought to control became his downfall."
Talking about such an encounter, such an incident, had a strange gleam take present in the woman’s eye. Of contentment, or calm and ease. Knowing that such a man would not corrupt another innocent soul, or walk the streets again, to cause another tragedy, to cause another poor Alice, was some of the best knowledge she could have… And the fact she had never been caught or convicted, made it even better.
But of course, twas her turn now, wasn’t it? What could she even ask in return. Pondering such inquiries was harder than it seemed, to decide what to go into next…
"Tell me… Do you perhaps see the world between cracks? Do you see wonderland? Or do you see the corruption, and the sea of madness inside your self, and merely laugh at those who do not believe… And, maybe for my own curiosity sake, would you care to see Wonderland? I could take you into it… Let you see it as I do." An invitation.
