I’ve just finished ‘Sonic Adventure’ and it was brilliant! So we decided to draw a collab. Gamma's storyline is the chef's kiss. I was really struck by the moment when Amy shields Gamma with her body, stopping Sonic from starting a fight. She’s been through so much because of Dr Eggman’s robots, but her heart is big enough to make one of them her friend. This scene really brings out her character.

This made me once again convinced of the possibility of metamy hehehehhe

I drew Gamma digitally, and my friend drew Amy traditionally.

I’ve always been drawn to Hayao Miyazaki’s work, and *Castle in the Sky* has become one of my favourite films of his.... and now it's metamy :]

The inspiration for this piece came to me whilst I was rewatching the anime. The scene with the robot always struck me as both terrifying and heart-wrenching, given the realisation that it merely seeks to protect Sheeta, yet brings only destruction. I depicted Amy as Sheeta, as they both share a desire for peace whilst remaining strong-willed. Metal represents that robot, as it is deadly and unstoppable in pursuit of its goal. I’ve replaced the ‘Flying Stone’ from the anime with fragments of the Master Emerald, as they share similar properties.

I think we did a fantastic job blending different styles on one canvas: Amy is illustrated in traditional, while my Metal in digital, which perfectly captures their essence. I absolutely love this charming contrast between heavy metal and pop music. It's perfect for Metamy 🤘✨️

I liked one song by the band Petlya Pristrastiya called “Tsvetok” (Flower). It sings about how, despite human mortality and the imperfection of this world, love will live forever. I immediately understood that this was metamy 💘

So I depicted Metal with a rose instead of a head, based on the band's album cover.
