I don't know. But here's my best uneducated guess. Maybe they don't think they can turn a profit there. Or maybe it's the same reason they're not in NYC, they're not wanted there.

North Reflecting Pool, 9/11 Memorial, NY
On my way home from meeting a friend I saw this guy standing in front of The Johnsons in Bushwick sending off a text. I took this snap and showed it to him. He told me he liked it and asked if I could send it to him. Then, mistaking me for a transplant, he told me he was, "Brooklyn born and raised." He was surprised when I told him that I'm from the Bronx near Hunts Point, he responded, "I never had friends in the Bronx. I was to scared to go up there when I was younger."
