as a teenager, she had been f u r i o u s when she found out that her “dad” hadn’t actually been her dad. she hardly even went home anymore and blamed it on WORK and SPACE and FINDING HERSELF. she never even knew who could be her father, sure her mother had a lot of relationships and she knew about her times as a titan and an outlaw but she didn’t ever think that perhaps jason, roy or even richard could be her father.
“ my mom has a message for you, “ is all she says when she walks up to jason and pushes the crumbled up letter into his hands as she steps back ( there was some minor burn marks on the edges from when she had read it ). she’s pissed off and that’s evident in her body language, most tamarans weren’t good at hiding their true emotions, anyways. @impossiblc.
he’s heard the approach more than seen it, his office door slamming open with her anger. the swell and storm with her flashed him back many years, thinking back to when koriand’r would do the same ( sometimes aimed at him and roy ). he expected her to rant at him, having gotten more complaints or something of their teaching styles. he’s used to it, knowing that kids went to the nearest adult with the words of how harsh the pair had been during training. but they need to be taught.
papers scattered his ever cluttered desk and the singed one added to the mess but he picked it up and held it between calloused fingers with a scan of the words. “this is some sick fucking joke if that’s how she plans to tell this to us.” sure, he’d always had a little idea he might have been her father, or roy. the timeline just matched, it was a weird time in his life with those three. “come with me.” the letter dropped to the desk and he stood, pulling open a drawer in the desk. arsenal of weapons lay before him and he gestures at them. “pick one or are we doing this with fists?” he could read it, tell that she needed to burn off this anger or it was going to explode on the nearest group of teenagers.
“get up, get to a training ground and do something. we can talk while we punch a fucking wall for all i care. fuck this, and fuck her. why did she fucking hide this from me for- you’re what? twenty something? thirty something?” that infamous red hood anger was boiling to the surface, ready to attack anyone that dared look at him funny right now.
