The Tragedy of the Cadmeans

Honestly In My Opinion out all the lineages/bloodlines that Greek mythology have, There is one lineages that I favor out of most for being the most tragic and saddest of them all. The house Of Cadmus (Cadmeans) more specifically The curse of Harmonia necklace

To Pentheus being killed by his own mother Agave while she was in a Drunken frenzy state by his cousin Dionysus.

To Semele getting ingolf by Zeus flames after being told by Hera to do so. To Ino being driven mad by Hera and killing one her kids and jumping off a cliff with the Other.

They all have one thing in common they come from the same family Tree know for being cursed by The Necklace of Harmonia giving to he by Hephaestus during her marriage to Cadmus, And honestly I feel bad for them because don’t deserve to get this much bad luck/misfortune on to them like for example:

Oedipus he didn’t know that he killed his father and marry his mother because he haded adopted parents (Polybus and Merope) and when did found out he blinded his eyes out cause he was in shame of himself.

Over all what im trying to say is that I like the Cadmeans because of I feel sorry I know that sounds obvious I just want to find an excuse to talk about them).

Also they kinda remains me of the What Remains Of Edith Finch family a lot.

Greek mythology timeline confusion????

I mean get how the Argonauts can related to the Greek heroes from the Trojan war due to them being their fathers like

Peleus ———-> father of Achilles

Telamon ———>father of Ajax the greater

Nauplius———>father of palamedes

Laertes———>father of Odysseus (In later Traditions) etc.etc

Now those make scene because to my knowledge the argonauts take place a generation(30 years) earlier before the Trojan war

but then how does Bellerophon,Heracles,Perseus,etc relate to the other generations like I'm kinda confused on that part.

I know Greek myths isn’t supposed to have a timeline because of inconsistencies but just like the bloodline post it’s fun understanding how the characters convert into this basically larger picture and how everything sorta connects on itself just an thought.

Defenders of them at all cost

Who/What is one character/hero from Greek mythology that your are defending like this, No matter there past actions/Crimes

To me personally/In my Opinion, that character is Palamedes (Son Of Nauplius) King of Euboea, Now hold up wait a minute, let me explain.

Now is Palamedes in the wrong for threatening Baby Telemachus life by putting him next to plow so that way Odysseus would have no choose but to act sane and join the war? Yes 100 percent , absolutely no doubt about it. But then again Odysseus did have him executed for Treason UNJUSTIFIABLY by planting gold in his Tent sent by king Priam, basically saying that Palamedes was a traitor which wasn’t true.

Which made Nauplius go on an absolute Revenge spree on the Greeks after his son’s death unjustly. So it ironically an Eye 👁️ for an Eye 👁️ situation.

again no glaze to Palamedes of course I like other character too like for example Cadmus. I’m just putting this out here just for shits and Giggles

Greek myths Bloodlines be like 💀💀💀💀

Me after just realizing that Greek myths have some crazy ahh bloodlines that link back to Gods,Demigods or other Greek heroes, and im not even talking about Odysseus being Hermes great grandson or Achilles being a son of a Sea goddess no I’m talking about:

Ajax the Greater being the great grandson of Zeus or

Palamedes being Poseidon grandson and cousin of Agamemnon

Penelope being the Great Granddaughter of Perseus. and much much more these are only some of the lineage I can think of on the spot there are plenty of more bloodlines I can think of but I were to named all of them I would be there, Let me know some more bloodlines down below in the comments.

Greek myths Trojan War Role Swap au

So I been thinking about this Au for a long time now and I can’t really seem to get this out of my head but what if everything thing in The Trojan War still happens but it swap like for example

Clytemnestra ——> (Agamemnon)

Helen of Sparta ——->(Menelaus, for some reason he gets kidnapped in this universe instead of Helen what can I say I guess the man was hot enough for Paris standards)

Penelope ——> (Odysseus) and Ctimene as Eurylochus etc,etc

I been thinking about this and honestly I can only see and Alternate Universe where it goes down like this but than again this is just an au please don’t take this too seriously it just a fun little headcanon I had in my head that just thought to post ( by the way this is first post on Tumblr so un yeah hopefully good first impressions.)
