She giggled a bit at him. “Well…when you put it that way, yes. You can kiss me whenever you’d like. But you will also be questioned about it…well, some of the time. I was just…a bit shocked from earlier,” Amy said with a shrug. It had been an intense kiss that she hadn’t expected from him at all, at least not when it had happened. Though she supposed that he was just grateful to have someone at his side who was going to stay there now. Seeing him watch the kids, she watched him for a moment, taking in all of his expressions. She shrugged when she asked that. “No, I haven’t ever really. Except now I can, we both need to get to know our kids anyway, don’t we?” She looked over at the twins then. She could see that Rory was having a bit more difficulty with actually being too swim, while Rose knew what she was doing. She’d gone over to her twin, offered a hand to help him out of the shallow end, but he’d flat out refused, shook his head and took a step back. So Rory had her stubbornness, perhaps a bit of the Doctor’s too. “They’re not a whole different species. Well…,maybe our children are since they’re half-time lord, half human.” She shrugged at him and then moved closer to him, leaning into him a bit. “They’re beautiful though, aren’t they?”
The Doctor chuckled, leaning in closer to her, his lips at her ear. "Well maybe I should shock you a bit more often, then. Perhaps you'd stop asking questions," He murmured, kissing her temple softly before pulling away and winking at her. His eyes redirected to the twins, and he chuckled as Rose finally lured Rory away from the shallow end. The two were holding hands, Rose keeping them both afloat as Rory looked down suspiciously at the water, as if some mysterious creature was going to pull him down at any moment. He nodded at her, chuckling. "Yes, I do think it's a good idea to learn something about them. After I, we are going to be having them in...however many years." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, his eyes following them as they swam around. They reminded him so much of how easier everything had been during his childhood, how it felt to have a mother and father that loved him and coddled him. He missed that, especially his mother. The last time he saw her played back in his mind now, and he shook the thoughts away before focusing his attention back on Amy. He laughed at her remark, nodding slightly. "Yes, I suppose they are a completely different species. Well. There was one other like them..." His voice trailed off, his thoughts caught up in the past momentarily. "Not that you'll ever meet him, that is. Off in another universe. Great man, though, brilliant." He chuckled at his own inside joke, grinning back at Amy. He leaned back into her when she leaned into him, smiling. "Yes. Very beautiful...we did a fantastic job," He joked, kissing her forehead gently.
