“I ain’t reading all that” your brain is rotting and shrinking
it's always "did you really need to burn down your workplace to prove a point" and never "how was the revenge arson? did you have fun doing revenge arson? were the flames pretty?"
🔥🔥🔥
Context for other users:
On the morning of April 7, 2026, a fire was started at the Kimberly-Clark Distribution Center in Ontario, California. It escalated to a six-alarm fire and took nearly twelve hours to extinguish. The facility was completely destroyed and declared a "total loss". There were no injuries or deaths. An employee who was working in the warehouse is accused of arson.
Authorities stated that the employee had shared videos of himself starting the fire on Facebook, saying "all you had to do was pay us enough to live" and "there goes your inventory" while lighting pallets of toilet paper ablaze.
ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS PAY US ENOUGH TO LIVE
No injuries. No deaths. This was a protest fire. This is why unions are important, to prevent frustrations like these, to ensure people are paid enough to live.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
a framing device that capitalists will use against this is your lack of context and knowledge of what came before this. if this was the first act this person took the moment they got denied a raise then it'd be insane, but that's obviously not the case. there clearly has been a long history of attempting negotations to no avail.
All you had to do was pay us enough to live.
fair pay shouldn't have to be a thing you ask for, it should be the cost capitalists pay to enter business in the first place, for us all to have to deal with capitalism they at least should have to pay enough, but they don't. they're not unreasonable demands, they're not even just reasonable, they're the basic fucking standard.
Everyone can understand that if your business can not afford the basic maintenance and fuel for a machine the business can not afford to have that machine.
And yet they want you to believe that a business (that is turning a profit, sometimes even a record breaking one) can reasonably have staff working for less than it takes to meet their basic human needs somehow.
They frequently claim not to be able to afford to pay staff enough to cover their human equivalent of basic maintenance and fuel.
If your business can't afford to pay staff a liveable wage you can not afford to have staff.
If your business is making a profit while you fail to pay a liveable wage you are exploiting the desperation of the poor in order to make them subsidise your income with their very lives.
It's a parasitic relationship.
As far as I'm concerned that fire was self defence.
i actually really really hate two-factor authentication because i have been in several situations where i physically lost my phone and email access and was unable to log into the accounts i needed specifically to find or replace them and was essentially just Fucked until some act of god occurred to rescue me. i dont have alternative solutions im just saying this is a real and serious issue
Maybe if I just work harder, this empty cup will pour again
Maybe the cup needs a bit of time to rest and refill?
Maybe the cup needs to lock the fuck in???
supermarkets should have benches
everywhere should have benches
the true elation and dopamine hit I get when I have a friendly random conversation with a stranger in public needs to be studied
no this is exactly it
you ever realize how able bodied people just are not expected to do things that cause them excruciating physical pain? like they’re just. not
if i shouldn’t use my cane because i can sometimes technically walk without it, it would just hurt like a motherfucker then abled people should no longer be allowed to use potholders to take things out of the oven because i mean
well they could technically pick up a hot pan with their bare hands. it would just hurt like a motherfucker
*sees an abled person using potholders*
i just think it’s really sad that you’re giving up on yourself like that
my super inflammatory game design opinion is that no game should ever encourage you to to play every day. yes, this includes animal crossing.
I complained about this the other day but Animal Crossing literally puts roaches in your house if you stop playing, and makes you return for days in a row and squash all of the roaches before they go away. Villagers react in disgust if they come into your house like this
There have been times I’ve tried to get back into Animal Crossing, but that outright disdain for a player who doesn’t play every day is clear. It punishes you for taking a break and the punishment is more daily log ins.
Don’t make your younger self into your own dead wife.
Don’t make your older self into a husband you resent. Idk
firm believer you can't be a ''good person''. too much niuance to life.
you can be good (adjective) but you cannot be good (identity)
if you think you are good (identity) you are more likely to cause harm as you don't consider yourself to be capable of it
There is literally no circumstance where I support age verification to access a website. As I've said before I'm very much the "there's nuance here" person on almost everything but on this issue there's no nuance for me, it's awful and horrible in and of itself and it also sets an awful and horrible precedent
I'm fine with "click here to confirm you're an adult" because it keeps people from finding it by accident.
I do not give a shit if the people checking the box are actually adults, and oppose any effort to confirm that they are.
