Maybe they shouldn’t allow anybody under 18 to be on reality television shows.

Maybe it should be mandatory for all entertainers and artists to have burnout prevention, preventative mental health care, substance abuse prevention, and required breaks included in their contracts to help them not lose themselves in the fame roller coaster.

Maybe fans need to respect the privacy of celebrities and not take, consume or share content from when they are not working. Or constantly demand new content from them. Or follow them around.

Maybe we need stricter guidelines for paparazzi and tabloids to leave people the heck alone.

Maybe the corporations who make money off of stars could put 2% of merch sales into mental health and addiction research so we can find better ways to help all of us when we are struggling and keep us from hurting those we love.

Maybe we can stop normalizing and romanticizing alcohol and drug abuse.

Maybe this didn’t need to happen and we can help keep it from happening to someone else.
