There are a lot of things I could think of that are more fun than having your heart broken two days before release day. I was terrified that everything I went through over the course of the past week would taint Lover’s release for me and ruin my most anticipated album of the year — especially since it’s an album that is so centered on being in love. But if anything, the exact opposite happened: Lover is such a nuanced and raw exploration of love that, despite everything, it made me believe in love again. Last week, I felt more hopeless and worthless than I had in a long time, but you once again came around just when I needed you the most. Thank you for this stunning album and for making me step into the daylight and let it go @taylorswift 💓
